Sorry I missed the date……….but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY………Miss Oki (aka the burgler)
I know you don’t realise it Madame but you did land on your four lucky pawsPoor little Oki had a little accident this morning and ended up with 3 staples in her head

Time flies!! Despite my slightly emotional flick back through her thread Oki Sky took it all in her stride . . . Oki Sky is doing great at her agility training and still lives to boss her big brother around … so all round a happy girly!!
She has been great with any foster dog we have had and has helped them to learn so much more about being a happy doggie than I ever could!
A huge thanks to Kathy, Nicole and Jimmy for taking care of my little one until I found her xx

Happy b.day to my beautiful doggie. . .an honorary DID doggie! Here is is with his little sister and a few of the foster doggies he has shared his home with over the past few years A real love bug this guy is true to his heritage a real velcro dog! He is a great big brother to Oki Sky and although she doesn’t always like to admit it she would be lost without him! deelobday.jpgHappy Birthday Deelo; what a handsome fellow you are with your lovely shiney coat. Hope you sister and foster siblings get you some nice pressies it looks like you deserve them for all the good work you do.

We sent Oki Skys DNA to be tested and the results were amazing. . . .
Level 2 Boxer: This means that Oki Sky is between 37% – 74% Boxer and would indicate one of her parents was a purebred Boxer.
Level 4 Rhodesian Ridgeback: This means Oki Sky is between 10%-20% Ridgeback indicating one of her grandparents was predominately this breed.
Level 5 Bloodhound: The level is the lowest level of breed occurring at 9% or less however it still appeared at a measurable level!!
It was amazing to get the results and in terms of understanding her behavioral traits it is very eye opening. Boxers are highly intelligent, playful, curious and they bond very closely with their families. The Ridgebacks are calm and gentle in the home, loyal and straight forward they are also intelligent and bond closely with their families. They can be suspicious of strangers and love to be kept stimulated and active.
This describes my little one to a tee!! She loves going to her agility classes. She is go go go when out and will happily run the course for 4 hours on a Sunday! She is shy meeting new people and dogs but once you make friends with her she will be your friend for life.
I would defo recommend getting the DNA test done if you are curious to learn what drives your doggie. As mentioned it is a real eye opener and I am delighted we are doing the agility as this is one of the types of activities that Boxers enjoy doing with their owners.
