Typical Irish weather – from sunshine to rain in minutes However, the rain did give me a chance to learn something new about our little angel – she LOVES the rain (or at least she doesn’t mind it!!!!) When she went "missing" this morning, I went to look for her and found her out in the garden playing with the raindrops She kept trying to catch them and got soaking wet paws patting away at the ripples the rain made in the puddles out the back. Then she proceeded to climb up on the table to drink the rain that had collected there – so funny to see. I found it particularly funny because all the other dogs here absolutely HATE the rain and look at me wth a wistful "make it go away" expression when I take them out in it!!! Freya is certainly different.

May 1, 2012 at 11:51 am #109534ColganFamilyMemberHopefully her new family will keep us updated. We are going to miss her like CRAZY but she is going to a great home with loads of land for her to run around in and a gorgeous big sis, a chocolate lab called Lucy.
May 3, 2012 at 12:01 pm #109593eileenflood1MemberId say you will miss her but its great to know she is going to a good home and its a big bonus she will have a big sis for company after spending so much time with your dogs. Thank you and Kathy for everything have done for Freya. xx
May 6, 2012 at 3:26 pm #109647ColganFamilyMemberWell yesterday marked the very sad (for us) and very happy (for Freya) day our beautiful girl went off to her very own happy ever after. And if any dog EVER deserved a special "happy ever after" then it is Freya. She was a pure joy to foster from start to finish and I feel – as I always do with these ultra special dogs – SO privileged to have been able to share five weeks of this little lady’s life with her. Fostering is without doubt the BEST thing I have ever done!!! Have an absolutely WONDERFUL life, baby girl – you really deserve it.

"Freya was playing for hours with Lucy (her new big sis) today. They were playing tug of war with a teddy when the kids and I arrived home She is really gentle and playful and Lucy responds to this by, in turn being gentle with her."
Seems the lovely Freya is just as big a hit in her forever home as she was with us!
