August 19, 2011 at 6:32 pm #106097LuvMyFurKidsMemberOh my god Cody what a miracle…..it might be just one eye to most people but to everyone here its one special eye……truly estatic for you all…..Lainey you are a credit to human kindness. Well Done!
October 22, 2011 at 5:13 pm #106798LuvMyFurKidsMemberToday I had the very special treat of meeting Miss Cody who now has had to have her second eye removed…..but this hasn’t stopped her she is now reliant only on her smelling senses and she is a pleasure to be with…..she is in tip top condition and has the most incredibly soft coat and she just loves to be rubbed and snuggled and only my little pack were taking up the whole jeep I think I would have dognapped her to bring home with me.
Cody is part of a pack of five and they all live in harmony and the other dogs have learned not to walk into Cody or bump her and they are all a credit to the wonderful Lainey and her very special family.
Just because a dog has been abandoned as an older dog it doesn’t mean that they cannot become a much loved and cherished part of the family….none of us can reverse time and get younger and we should remember that older dogs have gone past the chewing phase the toilet training stage the endless energy stage – and our younger dogs can learn so much from an older dog that us as their guardians just can’t teach them…
Cody is an example of how resiliant dogs are and when they are loved and cherished how they can over come so much that life throws at them

Picture 617.jpgMay 21, 2012 at 5:19 pm #108504laineyMemberMy beautiful girl Cody entered our lives on March 15th 2010. Today – 2 years, 67 days and 2 hours later – she headed off very peacefully to Rainbow Bridge.
This little ray of sunshine, with her tail wagging constantly, was the bravest, loveliest, happiest dog I have ever met. Her canine companions are very subdued this afternoon and her human companions are heartbroken. She has left a Cody-shaped hole in our hearts that can’t be filled.
Run long and free Cody xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

May 21, 2012 at 5:40 pm #108491kaydoyleMemberAh….Lorraine…so so sorry….but know that you gave her the best time of her life and she was adored.
Without you she would have not had any chance. I remember that was the first time I ever spoke to you when you rang to enquire about her.
You took her home and treated her like the little princess she was and she will look after you now….
Run Free little angel……..
May 21, 2012 at 7:23 pm #109606IndiannaMemberI would bet that Cody is watching you from the shadows, both beautiful eyes sparkling like diamonds. The animal world needs people like you. I am sorry about the very great sadness you currently have hanging over you but what a super life you gave Cody. She was a gift to you and you were most certainly the best gift for her. Never a replacement but I hope, in time, you can offer another needy dog a place in your home.
June 13, 2012 at 9:17 pm #109999MutleyMemberSo sorry Lorraine. You gave Cody the very best end to her life and it sounds as though she repaid you ten-fold. Let the happy memories live on always.
