:D Hello Poppy, how are you feeling today? I hope you are making good progress after your surgery. Happy vibes to you and  horrible vibes to to moron who flung you out of a car! :P Happy vibes to your foster person/people.

aawwweee…. Poppy sounds like a real gem :)

I’m helping my mum find a new four legged friend. We have had dogs for ever but when her "twiggy" passed last year she didn’t think she could get another one. But being on her own at home now she is really missing having one around to spoil / talk to / bring to the park etc. – she has decided now is the right time. I know any dog she gets will be loved to bits and spoiled rotten!

We have filled out the adoption form so hopefully we’ll hear back soon and who knows this little lady might be a possibility although we really believe that a dog has to choose you!!

Hello…I am new to this so not sure what I am doing. I see there are a few people interested in Eva (Poppy).
She looks so cute and tiny and totally adorable. My son and myself fell in love with her photo last night…she looks so small and her story was so sad. Our dog died 3 weeks ago and we are all (husband, child & myself) totally heartbroken. We are now looking for a small dog for our family. Our old dog was 11 years old and was spoilled rotten and we miss her so much. She was my shadow…I still cant believe she is gone. The dog would go most places with us so she would have to like the car so Eva sounded perfect. As the last lady said the dog will choose its new owner….I am sure thats true. Or as my Granny would say…if its meant to be, it will be. I was glad to read that Eva/Poppy is over her surgery too…poor little thing! Hope she is doing well. xx

I’m away from home for a few days, but my husband tells me eva is doing quite well. She’s a super little dog and would be a great companion. I hope the people who have posted here and might be interested in meeting her have contacted the appropriate DID person and filled out the adoption form. I believe that’s the procedure.

I too would love to meet Poppy (Eva – we have the same name!) to see if she would like me. I have applied for adoption and home visit. x

:) Is Eva/Poppy still awaiting her very own home? I thought she would have had her paws well under the table of her ‘permanent family’ by now?

I hear re-homing may be imminent. I hope it’s soon because we’re getting too attached. She’s just such a great little pup. She’s so smart and mature for her 8 months. Perfectly house trained. Can entertain herself for hours. She runs in and out of the house all day and loves to chase birds and root around the yard exploring. She’ll come in and say hi and cuddle up and take a little nap. She is much more confident these days and so, so cute.

We loved the look of Eva/Poppy when we saw her first but we have our hands full with two of Hopes babies at the moment….Happy & Honey and they are keeping us VERY busy. I do hope Poppy gets a nice home and someone to love her loads…shes so tiny and cute and sounds to be a lovely pup. Just wrong timing for us at the minute I suppose.

How is Eva/Poppy doing….? Any sign of her forever home? Happy & Honey are with me still and are so gorgeous but have made me realise I want a small dog if I get another dog for keeps. All my dogs were always medium to big dogs. Its so nice to have a small puppy to cuddle…so I think maybe a small dog next time…easier to cuddle. My last dog always wanted to cuddle and would happily sit on my knee but she was border collie size…too big for a cuddle on your knee. How is Eva/Poppy with kids….?

Small dogs can be very snuggly cuddly. They can also choose when to be cuddly (its usually on their terms), be very reactive to other dogs, noisey, cat and small furry chasers, suffer from selective deafness, disappear down holes if given the chance, will dig, can climb (great escape artists), ‘deal’ with in-coming mail and newspapers, chew the occasional postie and other visitors. I know that because over the years we have had a Westie, a Scottie, 3 JRTs, currently have a Border Terrier, a JRT x Collie and a Patterdale (?X) and I would be very hard pushed to ignore a terrier in need. This is now a message to myself – don’t you dare even think about it you mad mare – you do not have the room!!!
