This little lady has had a very hard start in life…she is very gentle & timid…she will require a home with another dog, where the family are home most of the time and with children 10 plus…

I would really love to give Dora her forever home.
I have a Lhasa Apso named George and am looking to give another dog as much care as we do him.
I live in my own house and work from home during the week so I think Dora would fit right in with us.
I’ve completed the adoption form. Please let me know if you need anything else.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Dominic

April 19, 2015 at 3:40 pm #124526Treya15MemberDora joined us in her forever home 3 days ago!! She has far exceeded our expectations and has been a very brave little girl. We are totally in love with her and feel so blessed to have her with us. Even though she’s a nervous and very gentle doggie she pushes through her fear over and over again. I thought she might want to hide out for the first few days, but nope, she wants to be where ever all the action is And she is well able to assert herself with her new big brother, Iggy She is already enjoying playing around with Iggy and I when we are playing. It is during these times that my heart melts more and more, as her little tail that is down most of the time can’t help but uncurl and wag!
She isn’t ready yet to go out on proper walks with Iggy, so I’ve been walking her 3 times a day in our garden which is quite big. I have her on the lead at these times as she would just want to run inside and hide otherwise. She is doing better and better with the walking. And twice today she has stepped outside the back door on her own. She is very clearly scared of open spaces, so all of this is AMAZING progress.
Another amazing thing is that she’s had no accidents… And while her appetite wasn’t great on the first day, she is now eating very well!
I do hope her sister Brooke finds a forever home soon. It just takes a little patience and encouragement and they really do surprise you with their courage… I feel so lucky and blessed to have a dog as precious as Dora and I’ve no doubt her sister can give the same to some lucky family.
Thanks to her brilliant foster Mommy Sam, and Claire and Kathy for giving us this great gift!!!!!
