We got a dog sitter when we were getting married 9 yrs ago…because I couldnt bare to leave my dog in kennels either. She was great and stayed in the house the whole time we were away & walked our dog a few times a day…unfortunately she (the sitter) died last year.
But to answer your question …there are people who will dog sit. Not sure where you would find any. Did u try the internet? What part of Ireland do the people live in? I know a lovely lady who looked after my friends elderly mother but the mother died a few weeks ago so she isnt working now and is looking for work…wonder would she do it. Shes an animal lover. If u dont find someone let me know and I would ask her for you. Good luck…Olive
Yes there is, you can go about it in several ways .The company I know is Safe Hands Pet Care .They are extremely professional .I have used them for a good while now to take my two on group mountain walks. They work on the southside and have a website.
I know of someone who recruited a family just by advertising in their local area they got lucky and got someone who had a daughter doing veterinary, maybe the vets would be a good place to place an ad
Maybe if you give more info on breed, location etc.. someone from the site could help out?
I’d be happy to help out if it’s not something enormous!!!!
he is a medium to small to small sized dog very friendly came from ashtown pound about 4 years ago

I use a company called My Pets Best Friend. The lady who runs it is so lovely and professional. My dog bubbles just loves her and loves going on his holidays to her. I have to work away alot with my job so Bubbles would go to her at least once a month for a few days. She has various options to suit requirements such a pet sitting in your home or she has houses where they can go for home boarding, which is great. Its like Bubbles second home. He has free rain of the house and garden, sleeps inside and gets loads of walks and exercise. I would highly recommend them.
