Poor babies – imagine being in the Pound for so long – what kind of people expect dogs to fit into their way of life immediately?
Poor little mites must have been terrified. Please, please if there is a god out there, look out for them and don’t let them run out of time.
Are Chuck and Checker still looking for foster homes or are they out and safe?
Are these poor guys still in the pound?? I walked the one with the red collar a couple of times around Christmas (I put the collar on him). They seem to be in urgent action so long now.
Checker was rehomed yesterday but Chuck is still in. ![]()
Had poor Chuck out today! Surprisingly he looks great! He has put on some weight and his coat is lovely! All he wanted today was hugs rather than go for a walk ![]()
Brilliant news for Checker
-good luck little buddy, now fingers crossed for Chuck ![]()
any more word of a foster home for chuck? might be easier to home just one of them as some people might not have wanted to seperate them! Fingers crossed for you Chuck!!! ![]()
Any chance of a photo of Chuck?
Hi, Just wondering about Chuck. Any luck with the Labrador/Retriver Rescue?
Thanks
I believe I walked Chuck today- all grown up.
He’s a very attractive dog with a shiny coat, a white T on his belly and big, orange eyes. He loves to run and is affectionate but not too much of a handful.
He is frightened of traffic but I think that’s fair enough if he’s had so little experience of it. He’s friendly with but not that interested in other dogs. A really lovely dog.

You have taken some lovely photos of Chuck. I am sure they will help me get a new home.
Thanks so much
Had Chuck out for a walk today. God love him he had been in there so long. He was so excited to get out and meet and greet everyone. He looks very well and has put on weight, a credit to those looking after him. He stopped in the middle of the field and insisted on cuddles and rubs. Oh! I hope someone takes care of Chuck soon. I can not understand why he is still there. If he is found to be a little strong on the lead, well he has been locked up for so long. He has great recall, the metal loops on his collar came off and he was loose twice, he came back the minute I called. He knows his name now. Can someone who wants a fun loving dog please consider lovely Chuck. Thanks
Oh! me again. I swear I am not the only one taking Chuck out for a walk. He was so happy to be out this morning. He was out for almost all of this morning and I kept him out until noon. He was fairly exhausted by that stage and it gave everyone the opportunity to see just how lovable and affectionate Chuck really is. He is SO GOOD after he runs all that pent up energy off. I love when when he jumps up for his cuddles. He is very interested in the smaller dogs, he seems to want to play with them. I suppose he is still such a baby himself.
Its great that he is getting loads of walks. he has really grown up into a very attractive dog. I’m sure the new pics will help. Any other updates would be great. thanks sisi
Chuck was his usual lively self this morning on the walk. He was in good form. After he lets go he really calms down and is such a pleasure to walk. Ricardos was out with the lovely Aliza and Ludo and he said it would be ok to let Chuck off the lead while he was there and not too many people around. Well it was like a new Chuck, he was just fantastic, he kept running back to me to check in all the time. He was so good, he has great recall. This dog will make a busy house very happy. Fingers crossed for Chuck.
