Lovely Chuck was out for a walk with me this morning. His brother Checker was taken out at the same time so they were able to say hello. They seemed happy to see one another. Both these dogs have lovely characters, so very gentle. Chuck was so good on the lead today, he seems to relax totally when he is away from the crowd and seems less excitable when he is out with someone who has walked him before. He is so sociable that he can get very excited. I would say to anyone interested in these dogs but unsure, is to take a bit of time with them. They both love the smaller second field down near the entrance of the pound. If there are no distractions there, they are very happy to take time and sniff out all corners. This settles them and you get the opportunity to get to know them, this is where they show you love. They are worth taking time with and it is not necessary that these guys get homed together as they have been separated in the pound for the very reason that they might not. Please give Chuck and Checker a chance. Thanks!

There is just something in their eyes that makes you want them to get a new home but i its the same for all the dogs in the pounds. All the best to the two brothers and paws crossed. here’s hoping to a good new year and life for them. sisi
January 6, 2009 at 10:05 pm #82247JennyMemberHi Madeadhbh
Please can you complete the Foster Form which can be found in "Forms and Downloads" and e-mail it to Gwen at fostering@dogsindistress.org.
January 7, 2009 at 11:04 am #81561madmeadhbhMemberI filled out forms last year and fostered a dog but I had to re-register yesterday as I wasn’t down as a member, not sure if my forms are still with gwen or not?
January 7, 2009 at 6:17 pm #82248YvonneMMemberI really hope you get to foster these guys. They are fab, only babies and really deserve a chance at life. January is going to be very cold, they are so slight in their build that I’d worry about them seriously

January 16, 2009 at 10:54 pm #82723fayresMemberHad these 2 out for walks today – they are so full of life and so lovable. Very good on the lead after some enthusiastic pulling at the start and both of them loved the trot around the field I gave them at the end. Can just imagine the two of them flying around an agility course. Please, please someone give the boys a lifeline
