Buster is approx 2 yrs. old and a gentle little guy. He will be wormed, microchipped, neutered and vaccinated before being rehomed. This poor little man was knocked down and left to die at the side of the road Thankfully a Dogs in Distress volunteer (SineadH) came to the rescue. He is a very lucky little man and thankfully only has minor cuts and bruises. He is now in fostercare with SueDub and will get all the tlc he deserves

August 19, 2010 at 8:18 pm #100264sineadhhMemberThis gorgeous little guy is a total dote! Even after being hit by a car he was so gentle! He sat on my lap the whole way to the vets where he got a thorough examination and all the nurses fell in Love with him instantly!! I fell in love with him myself and nearly took a detour to my house on the journey to his new foster mum
All I can say is that he is just gorgeous-In personality and beauty!!
August 30, 2010 at 6:21 pm #100631susiedubMemberBuster is coming on very well. He is house trained so no problem there ! He is such a gentle little dog and also very quiet. You would hardly know he was there, he puts our two to shame ! He gets on really well with Max and Boo ,as for the cat he will steer clear of her if she is lying in the garden but has to be told to do this. He will go to bed in the evening automatically now and even though he is clingy he goes and gets in his bed, he knows. In the morning Minnie, our cat is lying on a chair within easy reach of Buster and he doesn’t go near her but how long she has been there I don’t know. I think its probably more to do with her movement as he has chased her but when he catches up she stands her ground ! She is over twenty two years here so she doesnt really care ! He is eating very well and will eat most meat and veg , not keen on treats now but took markies today which was a first. Anyone who adopts this little dog will be happy with him he is just so gentle. I would love to keep him myself but small house and little room to move as it is. We love him anyway ! He ‘s a little dote.
September 3, 2010 at 8:56 am #100787susiedubMemberBuster is fine , he seems much more relaxed now than when he first arrived here.He loves to lie on the settee and watch tv. We moved the furniture around so he is right opposite the screen and thats where he stays now. He has only met one other dog except for ours and this was an 11month old male beagle, immediately he stood up and put both paws right around the dogs neck, twice he did this ! Didn’t have the camera handy though ! Unlike other fosters we have had he is not copying Max and Boo with barking at the doorbell which is a first for us. Most dogs or pups we have found will copy ours. He is in a routine now and seems happy here, clingy, but thats not unusual . Attachment has already happened ! I know I said this before but so gentle, so quiet. He reminds us of the dog in the Simpsons Santa’s little helper but trying to stick to his name ! He has started chasing a ball in the garden, running no problem for him, but he wont bring it back, he gets two balls and tries to take both of them at once but we are working on this ! Great to see him flying around the garden though. We are going to give him a bath at the week end when we are both here , need back up, but I have a feeling he will be fine . He has no problem with being groomed anyway.Keep you posted on this !!!!

September 10, 2010 at 6:41 pm #101047animalhelperMemberI’m in love with this little man….wow what a baby. He is so so sweet and quiet, he had to get his dew claws removed as well as a tooth that seemed to be damaged from the car collision but not a bother on him… he lay in his foster mammys arms while getting his bandages off and didnt make a sound. Whoever adopts this fella is one lucky person!

September 14, 2010 at 1:33 pm #101165susiedubMemberBuster is very well. We decided not to put him through a full bath and just washed his lower body as he was due to be neutered. No problem to the little lad ! We were both there in case he wasn’t too keen but he was fine and it was a sunny day so we dried him off really well and he went out and got some sun afterwards. He is due more flea treatment next week so may give him a full bath on Sunday. He is a happy little chap and we have noticed even when he is asleep there seems to be a faint smile on his face. Buster has a very gentle way about him and when he is given treats or food he doesnt snatch or take the fingers off us, he is a real little gentleman. A pleasure to have here and very easy to look after. We had a visitor during the week, a nun, Sr. Angela, who for the last year has been on a mission in Peru ,well, she said she thought he was so well behaved . she had an encounter with stray dogs in Peru on the way to mass one day but many people came to her rescue, so we were a bit worried about introducing her but she loved Buster. He sat at Sr’s feet until she left.
