    Well !!
Yesterday we were lucky enough to foster five of the most adorable puppies I have ever come across. We now have Baxter, Bosco, Blaze,
Bliss and Brooke part of our family. :D

These puppies belong to Brianna(now called Noah) a beautiful little Black Jack Russell who was adopted form DID by two really nice guys John and Robbie. Nobody realised when Brianna came to DID that she was already pregnant. When they found out John and Robbie looked after their little girl really well and the end result was these five little bundles of joy. A big thank you to you both for caring for Brianna and her pups and giving them the best possible start in life. :D

They are the most adorable, tiny little creatures you can imagine and there only six weeks old. They were not a bother to transport and loved the car and all the interesting things they saw on the journey.

When they got home they were very quiet and timid at fist but that didn’t last long. We fed and watered them and when they had relaxed a little we introduced them to our two Yorkies Sophie and Bailey and our other foster Jade. In no time at all they were getting along like they had always known each other and it was just comical to see paws and heads everywhere. It was almost impossible to make out where one dog ended and another other began it was just a crazy mass of dog.

We let them have a good play until they tired themselves out, then they all snuggled up in one bed and went fast asleep.
They slept for the whole nigh and were full of life jumping around and wanting to explore at 6.30am this morning.

Their personalities are starting to shine through so were looking forward to see what the future brings. :D

Brooke (now Lottie) came home with us today and we are delighted with her. She has explored the garden and christened it and had several naps! Thanks to Eddie and Mary for looking after her the last few weeks. We are looking forward to getting to know her over the next few weeks but we can tell already she is a really super little dog! Here are some photos of her first day with us……

Lottie is doing great. She has settled in well and is really starting to show us her personality! She is clean and dry at night and the house training is going very well too. After an initial slowness to eat her eating is now great and she is even ‘helping’ me to get the food at meal times. She had her first pigs ear today. For some strange reason it had to be growled at and barked at and pounced on a few times before she actually started to chew it but now its her most favourite thing in the world and is carried around with great pride!! She gets more injections next week and then I am looking forward to getting out and about a bit more with her…although she is greatly enjoying surveying the world at the moment from mammy’s arms!!

Ohh Im so happy you posted pics of lottie :) brought a tears to my eyes :) :)

I had such a soft spot for her and her for me. A few days after they were born, she latched onto me. From when her eyes opened she would run to the side of the crate every morning and cry until i picked her up. She was also the first and loudest pup in the morning. She had such a Yeeeeeeelp ;) She was the last pup i kissed goodbye before going to work knowing that they would be gone by the time i came home, Very sad. The day you collected her from Eddies, we were on our way to see them all before they went but we got lost and by the time i got there she had just gone. She is a very special little girl and I’m so happy she has a new loving home. Would love to see more updates on her in the future. Thanks again so much for posting this update, very emotional to see her again :)

Well she is doing great Robbie. My heart was breaking for you reading the message you left. I myself did fostering for the guide dog association for the last three years so I know how heart breaking it is to give them up and how you worry about them and how they are doing. That is how we ended up taking Lottie..we just could not go through losing another dog.
She had her injections last Thursday and her kennel cough too…you never know who you are rubbing noses with!!.She is having great fun in the park with my friends two golden retrievers. They are 3 and 5 but are so gentle with the her. She is fearless of the big dogs and is totally shattered when she gets back. She has doubled in size since she got here and is eating well. We are totally in love with her. I will post more photos next week for you to see.

We have Lottie’s (Brooke’s) brother Burt (was called Blaze) he is a wonderful little guy, very good tempered and full of fun. Their mothers owners are my brother and his partner so we have known them since birth, we almost took your little one from the litter but decided on a boy. Lottie was affectionately called ‘socks’ when she was born because of her little white paws. Burt and her were the most alike. Vet tells us he is going to be big! :!: :P :!:

Thats amazing coz we picked your little guy out from the photos as the one we were most interested in but you had booked him already so we took Lottie. To be honest I was happy with that coz I had always had girls for the guide dogs.Lottie is great and exactly right for us. It’s nice to be able to see and hear about the rest of the litter too. Lottie has stayed very small and my vet says she expects her to be a small adult too. Burt must take after his daddy!!! :D

Lottie went on her first holiday last week to Duncannon Co. Wexford. The ‘sunny south east’ certainly lived up to its name. She really enjoyed fishing and rock-pooling and picnics. She had lots of nice walks and made some new friends. I thought she would be really unsettled in a new house but she took it all in her stride. Granny and Grandad were really impressed with their ‘furry’ grand-daughter and a great time was had by all! Here is to many more years of great holidays together. :D

Little Lottie is going to be neutered on Thursday so hopefully all will go well and she wont be too sore after  She is coming on great and did very well at her recent obedience class at ‘Dog Training Ireland’.Mind you she forgets her manners sometimes and has to be reminded!!! Will post some recent photos at the weekend and an update on how the op went. Right now she is sound asleep on the couch…she had a very hard morning playing with her friends and chasing crows in Ardgillan… :D
