How is Lola getting on with these two babies?
Smaller then Pumpkin by alot aren’t they? xx
Hi Susan, Lola is back to her old self with these little babies thank God! Suzi thinks it might be just that she feels a bit threatened by the bigger ones because she tends to mother the really small babies
.
Oh I see, well its good she is! ![]()
Well Mr. Blitzen is a heartbreaker. We have fallen in love with him
He is a little cutie. He loves to just sit and be cuddled, loves his grub & is doing great with toilet training. He jumps from seat to seat in the evening until he has found a comfy spot/some ones lap to go asleep in & snores quietly while he sleeps – VERY CUTE!
He loves Lola (basset) & is my little boys (age 5) partner in crime, he doesn’t leave his side. Loves being out in the garden running in the grass, chasing his sister & Lola. His pics dont do him justice he is just adorable ![]()
Blitzen is coming on really well. He has such a gentle nature but by no means shy, he is a really friendly little puppy. He follows me around the house now with his tail wagging constantly, & will sit beside me quietly while I clean or cook
. He was delighted to jump & tumble around the beds while I was changing them yesterday
. We have started a little basic training & he has picked it up straight away
. He loves the garden but wasn’t impressed at all by the rain yesterday! Lola went outside to the loo in the rain & Blitzen followed he ran straight back in & cried looking out the door for about ten minutes because he wanted to go out, poor pet ![]()
Blitzen’s forever home didnt work out, through no fault of his own, so he came back to me yesterday morning the poor little mite
. We are seacretly delighted to have him back as there were tears when he left but he will find his forever home soon hopefully. Whoever gets this little man will be VERY lucky! We love him ![]()
Am so surprised Blitzen’s forever didn’t work out. For one he is such a super handsome pup (love love love wire haired terriers) and by all accounts he is a little dote of boy, very well behaved pup. I think I may have carried out his homecheck, am gutted for him, but sure if it wasn’t the right home for him its a good thing. No doubt he’ll be snapped up soon.
poor little fella how could it not work out i have 4 puppies here and they can do no wrong they are only babies like little blitzen. i did a home visit today if they are passed they are very interested in this little guy and have a fantastic home and garden. ![]()
I cant understand it myself but sure what can you do. The poor little fella doesnt know what is going on
. He has plenty of interest though so hopefully he will get the home he so deserves really soon. It will be even harder to let him go the 2nd time around. We have really taken to this little man. He is going to make somebody really very happy ![]()
i know it is very to let them go but to let go a second time will be very hard for you hope all goes well poor little guy really is weird that some one can have a problem with a puppy.
Blitzens second forever family came to meet him last night & are coming to take him home with them tonight. He seemed at ease with Hazel & her two girls. We wish him all the very best with them & look forward to lots of updates ![]()
.
I had mine for a day and they both had issues and was told I could give them back, but after a DAY, there is no way I would have parted with them…….
so glad it worked out in the end….poor fella…
I had ten days of full on alpha dominance displays, I had two large labs having a go at each other. Felt so sorry for Sally (original dog) her little world was turned upside down. I knew though that what she ‘lost’ i.e. our undivided attention she would gain ten fold by having a constant companion. Anywho she won the alpha title, Stevie is happy to be second in command!! They are great pals now a year on, actually within six weeks they were inseperable. He is an Ashtown poundie, love him to bits, big ole dote of a dog. People need to give pups/dogs a chance to settle, they are not going to be Lassie without any training/guidance. Dogs are sensitive souls
Best of luck Blitzen in your new home…..
Well said Yvonne
It can be hard work but well worth the effort and I’m speaking from experience
