January 29, 2010 at 12:42 pm #93265buzzsmomMemberwhat does it mean that she wont be homed from the pound? is it because she is in heat? She looks lovely
January 29, 2010 at 6:29 pm #93282YvonneMMemberExactly, either her owners come and reclaim her, she goes into foster or she will have to wait in the pound until she is out of heat (3 weeks) and then can be rehomed
February 1, 2010 at 11:13 am #93366ladlesMemberBiddy is absolutely lovely. She is friendly with dogs and humans and very puppyish. Hopefully she will get into foster soon. Herself and Bella will have to do their time while in heat in Ashton pound.

February 1, 2010 at 6:44 pm #93391YvonneMMemberI met Biddy whilst up in the pound. She is gorgeous, has personality in spades. She has a really great look, wirey coat, square muzzle and a little tufty beard. She is really friendly and sociable with all the dogs big and small. She is only a young girl and is fairly lively and active. Good on the lead and eager to learn.
February 1, 2010 at 9:22 pm #93379ladlesMemberBiddy is a medium plus sized dog. Absolutely lovely.
February 2, 2010 at 9:21 am #93435buzzsmomMemberare neutered males interested in dogs in heat? Just wondering whether we could take her
February 3, 2010 at 8:24 am #93492buzzsmomMemberwell ladles answered my question in relation to Biddy when talking about Bella.I guess she cant come out to our house Buzz is male and neutered.Too bad I had hubby and son organised to bring himself over to meet her today.
I walked her yesterday, what a lovely dog .She has a big happy face and was delighted to get out. She met another little dog while out (female)and was interested in being friends ,she loves a play and accepts cuddles and she is quite responsive on the lead .Very gentle for her size you cant help but smile when you are with her.February 3, 2010 at 10:42 am #93502ladlesMemberThat is such a pity Buzzsmom. I was speaking with someone from DID yesterday and they mentioned that a female in heat can not go into foster with another male even if neutered as it would just cause stress. I wonder if it is ok to be fostered with another female, Can anyone clarify this. It would be great to see Biddy and Bella in foster, they are both super dogs.
February 4, 2010 at 10:48 am #93563buzzsmomMemberwell Hubby and son loved Biddy so if she is not nabbed by someone with another female we hope to be considered to foster her. She seems to have disappeared off the list though
February 6, 2010 at 3:52 pm #93641buzzsmomMemberwell to our delight we were able to take Biddy home today. She was as good as gold on the way home in the car with her head stuck out the window. She was admired by quite a few on the way.Well who can help it with that face . We met the incumbant Buzz down in the park after Biddy had a good run around and it is going well so far. I believe the first few minutes are telling. After four hours of chasing in the back garden they are now exhausted and lying apart .Biddy can sit on command if there is food involved and she can open door handles that are level with the light switches and she likes bananas! I think she would eat anything, she has delivered a few licks to my son and myself so she seems to approve of us. I think we will see the real Biddy emerging over the next few days.
February 6, 2010 at 5:50 pm #93645ladlesMemberThanks so much for fostering Biddy, it sounds as if it is all going well.
February 7, 2010 at 8:40 pm #93713buzzsmomMemberwe are all tired here today, the legs are walked off all of us .Buzz is not impressed but Biddy is in love and you know women usually get their way! She keeps sideswiping him with kisses. They did have fun together and now a calm has descended . Biddy eats like a horse but i think she has a good bit of catching up to do. She now smells a lot sweeter, while she didnt complain she is not a big fan of the bath but you can now see her lovely highlights . She is such a sweet character and would be a great dog for kids because she is so laid back and very gentle on the mouth. Have not tried removing food just yet but will do when she settles a bit more.

the photo transfer just isnt working for me
Anyway I will try again tomorrow ,were are all calm and ready for bed in this house Biddy is stretched out and Buzz is curled up on the couch.I think she was proably not allowed on the couch. She is a clever girl she sits on command and lies down if bribed. She can be good on the lead but its hard to be good when you are on the lead all the time. She would like a good run but has had to settle for a slow trot beside me. She has relaxed a lot and is now very determined to establish her position trying to get out the door before me and jumping up on people. Not sure what mix of dog she is ,but she is very cute. I will try and show her off tomorrow. -
