Audrey you have done a wonderful job with Benson and should feel proud that you have given the time, energy, and love for him to become who he is now. I am sure you will have regular contact with his new family which helps with the loss. I am sure empty space won’t be there for long ![]()
I am so glad I have not been on the forum the last while because if I had seen this guy… The gang would be getting bigger ha. What a cutie. Fair play Audrey wgat great work you have done with benson… You have been very busy. Great updates and delighted he’s gone off to such a good patient home. It’s gas how they get you everytime even though it’s the best home they head off too we just can’t help the tearfest !! And then we do it all over again ![]()
Well done Auds ……but you know he has got such a great forever home. ![]()
Update From Benson
Spent the long weekend exploring and sniffing out the surroundings with Minty (the ever so friendly Labrador)…..
Went for lots of walks in the Woods with Minty & the girls whom constantly compete for my attention.
Thankfully Minty doesn’t mind me sitting and lying on him when I’m tired although I have been "sneaking" up to the girls bedrooms at night…..
Leg is holding up pretty well thanks to Audrey & the gang….
Going to wait a couple more weeks before I venture out to the river banks but I might chance a brisk walk around the canal if this rain would stop…
Ah Benson you sound like you are doing great….bet Minty doesn’t know whats hit her in the form of Benson the bonkers beagle….thankfully she has taken over Velvets cushion duties….(bet she doesn’t growl at you like Velvet did)…..as for sneaking into the beds of the girls I hope your mum doesn’t mind this …(Tess will be proud)…and Rossi is missing his snuggle bug…
Delighted to hear the leg is holding up and you are being a brilliant boy….still pining for you though!

Yesterday was a BIG day as finally I was allowed out with Minty & Mia to roam the gardens without being at the end of the lead…..
Marvin the pony doesn’t know what to make of me just yet…..
Marvin Follows every move both I and Minty make alongside his fence and I don’t think he has ever heard a bark like mine before.
Catty (The Family Cat) isn’t a single bit bothered that I’m knocking about the place. All he wants to do is rub up against me and purr. Not sure what that’s all about.
Mia is taking Minty & I out again later today for a wander in the gardens. I will try and take some pictures but I’m not sure if I can upload them here….

Oh my gosh look how big you have got….not my Baby any more Benson….Hope you are being the best of boys for all the gang!
Brilliant to get an update – still miss him so much
Tess (who has a broken femur at only 10 months) asked me to send on her good wishes to you Benson. She’s delighted that injured dogs do get happy ever endings.
She’s hoping there is a family out there who will love her as much as your forever family love you.
Lots of licks are sent your way by Tess
