This dog is extremely cute – great name change. Who ever adopts him (her?) will strike lucky a trained, happy dog who is also very cute. Good luck
Benji has been neutered and is recovering well.
It would be wonderful if he was to get his forever home soon.
ah he looks lovely and seems like a great dog, how is doing with your cat,
Hi all,
together with my partner we just filled in an adoption application for Benji!!! Emailed it yesterday and impatiently waiting for anyone to get in touch with us…
I hope things will progress fast and Benji will be living with us very soon!
Let the holiday be over… SOON!

Benji has some interest!
He’s actually having some visitors tomorrow, so paws crossed things go well.
I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but Benji would not be able to live with cats, birds or small furries. I guess it’s the terrier in him!
He would happily live with other dogs or children as he LOVES to play. He would love to have someone to play football with….I’m no good as I kick like a girl! lol ![]()
Benji has gone to his forever home.
I am going to miss the little guy
, but I know he will be very happy with his new family.
"Myself and my husband adopted a small terrier cross dog from ‘Dogsindistress’ last January. His name was Benji
(your reference number 675).
He had apparently been surrendered by his previous owners . But it is hard to understand why anyone would ever want to part with him as he is such a dote .They must have had a very good reason whoever they were. So cute looking, very sweet-natured, and extremely friendly with us right from the start.
However, It took a while for us all to get used to each other. At first we thought he was sure to run away from us. For the first few weeks he kept throwing himself at the back wall trying to escape. Also because he is part of the Chinese Crested breed he has an amazing ability to jump swiftly and silently up to a level other dogs his size could not. A bit like a cat really. It took a while for us to get used to finding him on our dining room table, kitchen worktop or up a tree in the garden. Our last dog was a Westie and he could barely jump on to the couch. So we raised up the hight of our boundry and did some training with him and he soon settled down.
We have him over 9 months now and we love him to bits. He is a real little character, very mischievous (he still jumps up on the tables when our back is turned) but very gentle, easygoing and great with children. In April we adopted another rescue dog which we are also equally delighted with. This time a neutered female westie called Molly from ‘Westie Rescue’. It took a while for him to get used to having to share his new home with another dog. But now the two of them get on great. They use each other as pillows in bed and spend ages playing together in the garden.
So Benji found his forever home with us . (See attached photo of his original DID picture and one of the two dogs now together ) For us too the whole experience has been great. We never did the dog adoption thing before and we were a little apprehensive at first. So afraid that it would not work out. But we now have two wonderful little terriers that will be with us we hope for many years to come.
We would certainly recommend rescue dog adoption to anyone who loves dogs."
