Little cheeky face and those beautiful eyes. When you know, it’s obvious ![]()
Little Alfie is slowly growing in confidence & whilst he finds the outside world a very scary place he is making progress. He loves chicken so this helps to ease his worries…
He’d big day on Friday & spent the day in Mutley’s Empawrium in Portmarnock, just to broaden his horizons a little. He’d a fantastic time playing & snoozing the day away with another puppy. A huge thanks to the girls there for completely spoiling him. They reported back that he was as good as gold, but we knew that anyway. ![]()
Alfie is a really sweet, gentle, timid little puppy & it’s so nice to see him beginning to come out of his shell.

Well done Alfie, best paw forward
. Remember, every journey starts with the first step and the outside world can be scary for all of us so you are not alone on that one
. Love your jumper ![]()
No, no, no. We cannot have you and your jumper on page two. Wouldn’t be able to sleep if that happened
Hope you have a great weekend doing everything a brave puppy dog should be doing ![]()
No, no, you’re right Indianna, thank you for alerting me to that. ![]()
Funnily enough, while Alfie was out on his walk today we were stopped twice because of that jumper. One woman was admiring it and wanted to know where we got it (she wants to get one for her dog
) and the other woman recognised him from the site because of his jumper!! We were stopped many other times by people admiring him.. and little Alfie took it all in his stride. He’s starting to really enjoy his walks & now skips along like a little lamb. ![]()
Alfie is an absolute dream to foster, & I’m really going to miss his gentle ways when he finds himself a forever home.

Is it just me? Surely not! Look at his black and white image
Wow! My eyes nearly popped on springs and heart rate increased substantially when I saw it
. What a super pup he is, I adore you Alfie ![]()
Alfie you are looking fantastic.
Great to see you filling out and putting some weight on. Your confidence seems to be growing – actually enjoying your walks now – well there’s a surprise.
They’re not so bad after all!
Having your brother Lucky showing you the ropes seems to be helping your confidence. You are one gentle little pup and I am delighted to see you progressing so much. ![]()
Alfie had a great time in the park this morning running after his foster brothers and friends. Photo completely out of focus,
oops…. but you’ll get the gist! ![]()
I am also an Alfie supporter
Yoddy & Indiana, I know you will both be pleased to see him so happy. (I have to inform you that Alfie’s famous jumper is in the wash, so today on his outing he was little boy blue!!)

You will have to be quick with the camera to catch any images of the boys running. Just look at those ears
What a happy image ![]()
It’s great to see Alfie running around without a care in the world while his poor Mammy is at home washing his jumper!
Natasha I’m also glad that Alfie had the good manners to wear his blue jumper and not to appear in public with no clothes on!
Lovely photo. Well done to his foster family (and Lucky) for getting him this far.
My little superstar continues to shine. He’s had a busy schedule this weekend. He went to a family party yesterday where he had to contend with a lot of noise & activity, (even more than normal) & what we affectionately call, "the crazy collie", Riley. I was a little concerned about how he would manage but I didn’t want to leave him behind. I needn’t have worried, he followed Lucky’s lead & took it all in his stride.
He was down at the beach today & had a good run around with his foster brothers & the kids. His recall is good so I can let him off lead without a problem.
Alfie really is as good as gold. He thrives in the company of other dogs, he’s cat friendly, he’s great with kids (who aren’t going to be too excitable around him) He can get a little unsure around new people but warms up very quickly. He is an absolute gem of a pup.. ![]()

Can see the end of your tail wagging Alfie. Did you have a nice game with the Collie? Looking good, even without your very popular jumper ![]()
He did Indianna, he had a ball. This is the only pic I could get on my phone that wasn’t a complete blur. ![]()
Good morning the most fashionable creature on the site. Red suits you so very well. If you ever get onto a cat walk, don’t worry about it, you will not be walking on a cat
You little star ![]()
Indianna, Alfie says thank you very much for the lovely compliment, he’ll wear red more often..
He’s been busy again this week, the weather has been hit & miss but we’ve made it to the park most days, which is his favourite place to be.
He’s in his element running through the fields with his doggy friends. His confidence is growing all the time, but still he remains really sweet natured & gentle.
