Can you imagine that this intelligent and affectionate fella has been badly neglected for about a year. When he first arrived at my door he was really Hyper and he just couldn’t relax, he had never been walked or socialised with other dogs and had not travelled much in the car. I have him just 2 weeks now and I am amazed at the progress he has made. Albert is now a happy and relaxed fella ![]()
He is walking off the lead now, he jumps into the car by himself and is socialising positively with lots of dogs. When I call him, he returns, sometimes taking his time but eventually does return. I can’t blame him for that because he has so much to catch up on and all these smells are just so distracting. ![]()

Sounds like Albert couldn’t have been luckier to have landed with you and his new foster doggies. You’re doing a fantastic job, rehabilitating him emotionally and preparing him for a normal happy life. Thanks a mil!
Have a great big soft spot for Beardies! Can’t see him long in foster

So, what’s Albert been up to??
Albert is one of the most affectionate dogs I have ever known. He loves human attention and is enjoying his life to the full with us. He is catching up on all sorts of things that he has missed out on in his first year so sometimes he finds it a little difficult with new experiences and is a little weary of certain objects such as kids on moving objects but time and exposure should sort this out. Alberts most important time of the day apart from dinner time is going for a walk and being let run freely. He reminds me of a 6 month old puppy running non stop from tree to tree and smell to smell. He has become very obedient and quiet in the house. Being a collie which is one of the most intelligent dogs in the world was like an express task for me to teach him commands etc. In the park there is still room for improvement, but everyday he improves and I think Albert will make a perfect companion for anyone.

Albert got a fantastic new home with fantastic new parents and i’m sure he is going to have a wonderful life ![]()
After dropping him over to Mervyn and Linda (new parents) I was so happy to see where he will be living because he has everything that a dog could wish for. His garden is a dog paradise
It is as big as a field and has a river flowing at the bottom. He has his own bedroom, sofa and heated window ledge with a great view. I know he’s going to love his new parents because they are the nicest people you could meet. ![]()
We all got very attached to Albert and miss him dearly but we are so happy for him. We wish Mervyn, Linda. Polly and Albert a long, healthy and happy life together.
Fiona, Jenny, Chris, Mitzi and Mozart
