Celebrity dogs of South America is a fundraising exhibition displaying photographs of street dogs in South America. While on his travels, photographer Niall O’Byrne, came across a curious phenomenon. Many of the street dogs he met had an uncanny resemblance to some well-known celebrities. Acting on this epiphany he set out to document as many of these canine characters as possible.

The exhibition will be a fundraising event for Dogs in Distress; a charitable organisation that work to improve the lives of dogs.
The exhibition will be run in Mabos located on Hanover Quay starting on the 29th November and running for four days.

This event will need volunteers to shake the bucket and give out DID leaflets.
We also need around 3 DID dogs that are in foster to be at the event.
The launch is from 6pm to 9pm Thursday 29th Nov.

So we only need volunteers for that one night.

    Anyone available to help?

    Hi,

I’d love to help out with the bucket shaking. I’m a friend of Nialls and I will be going to the launch anyway.

Can I pop my name down for this also- I can bring the little foster I have at the moment- eventhough, she is a little nervous. Maybe I could bring our own happy endings dog that we got from DID a few years back?….Anyho, let me know, would be delighted to help out!

    Hi Justine,

We are hoping to be there between 5 and 5.30 on Thursday. You are more than welcome to be there earlier and appreciate any help. We are hoping to have a good turn out at the event so we will need help with talking to people about DID and shaking the bucket.

    Thanks a million.

I think that would be sufficient representation from the DID Dogs.
Looking forward to the event!! :)
