Jetta came to stay with us yesterday thanks to Claire. She’s a bundle of love! Totally exuberant in a manageable sort of way. She is a wiggly friendly puppy and is having lots of fun with her squeaky toys and playing tug of war with Max. They get on great. We went to the park today and she played in the dog park with a husky and had lots of fun.
She doesnt seem to be a big digger in the garden which is good because we have enough craters as it is. If you leave the house she’s up at the window looking out and giving a little whine.
I put her bed, blanket and toys in the crate last night and put her in. She was a little resistant and whined for about 5 minutes and then there wasnt a peep out of her until the morning. She can probably sleep outside of a crate no problem but I didnt want the two dogs to get up to too much mischief in the kitchen because I had a lot of things on the counters.
She seems to be housetrained – no accidents in the house. She did come with a cat warning and we have a cat and we have had to separate them after the initial meeting which was a bit frantic. the cat was on the table and didnt give Jetta much of a chance before lashing out and then it all got a bit out of control. I will work with the two – I think in this case it was the cat more at fault than the puppy.
Jetta is a lovely looking puppy, long legged, not that large, certainly not as heavy as say a lab puppy of the same age. She will make a fun loving family pet. She’s light as a feather on the lead. I’ll get some photos up asap.
