Here is the latest update on Sylvie – as we have now had her for almost a week…
Sylvie has proven to be a really exceptional dog. She is so good for a one year old. Our friends nearby have a 5 mth old puppy, Millie, and Millie and Sylvie are great friends. Sylvie even had a sleep over with Millie on Saturday night. Sylvie loves running around with Millie when they meet up – so she has the energy and playfulness of a young dog, but when she is at home she as good as gold. Happy to sit sit with her ball in the quiet hope that it might be tossed accross the room from time to time. Today at dinner she was looking longingly at my plate, I pointed away and said no – quite gently really, and she immediately turned around and sat down facing away from me. I’m constantly amazed at how good she is and find myself saying "you’re such a good dog!" regularly. She loves to play ball and she goes to the park around the corner twice a day for a session. Her fitness levels are improving so she may not have been exercised much where she came from. She is also a model passenger in the car.
Sylvie is here beside me on the couch. She is a lovely gentle girl, good with all dogs, people and children. I will be sad to part with her when the time comes but know some lucky person or family is going to love her.
