Hello. I, along with my OH Dan are the lucky people who got to adopt Hal. His lovely fosterer Amirah asked me to post a few photos on here. Hal has moved in with us and our baby son and 2 other dogs, a 4 year old lurcher and a 10.5 year old greyhound. We completely fell hook line and sinker for the oldies when we adopted our greyhound last year so we decided to add another one to our family.
We have had Hal for a couple of days and he is getting on great. He is slightly wary of my OH so we think he prefers women but he is gaining more confidence and going to him for fuss. Our greyhound is the boss in this house and Hal is happy to respect that after she told him so!! Our lurcher decided to explore his sexuality by trying to hump poor Hal for most of Sunday but has calmed down now and realised that short, stocky, fluffy male dogs aren’t his type
We would urge everyone to consider giving a space in their home to an oldie. They are so grateful for your love and its a great feeling to know that you will provide them with a warm safe home for the rest of their lives. Hal has so much spirit and bounce in him and loves to play and go for walks but he is also happy to rest and lie happily on his bed. No mad puppies for us, no sireee!
I have a couple of photos I am trying to put up for Amirah but it says that my pixels are too high or something. Does anyone know how I can attach some photos please?
