Last night my lovely Allie went to the Rainbow Bridge after becoming ill on Saturday. She was in the vets since Sunday morning but sadly passed away after trying to fight a gastro bug.
Allie has been here 9 weeks, it was 9 weeks full of fun, mischief…. and sock robbing!! Since she was a little person she has been the boss, well co-boss along with Annie! She was the first pup that attempted to walk before the others…….. the first pup to dive into her first feed of mushy food….. she was a natural born leader! She would torment the others to play when they were asleep, her and Aimee were best buddies. She loved to grab onto your trousers so you would be forced to pick her up
She just loved her cuddles, she had big brown eyes that just looked at you, real puppy dog eyes… and her long floppy ears that would blow back with the wind. ![]()
She just loved to do her own thing, loved being independant. The day before she went to the vets all she wanted to do was be in my arms, wrapped up in my dressing gown. That’s when I knew something wasnt right.
Some people would say she was the lucky one…. but I am the lucky person who got to foster her and her siblings. Even though I am so heartbroken, I have never regretted it for one second. I was so lucky to know Allie, and everyone who has met her knows what a lovely pup she was, and even though it was a short 9 weeks, it has been the best 9 weeks ever.
R.I.P Allie, gone but never forgotten. 12th April 2009 – 15th June 2009
