Jasper came to stay with me yesterday and he really is a darling. He has no training, but picks up on things very quickly. When he came into the house first, he was quite nervous, but relaxed once he had had a good look (sniff) around. He is small for a collie and stunning looking! He will do anything for a cuddle and will be very easy to train. He does not jump up on countertops or furniture and does not chew things, just explores every corner with his nose.
This morning I brought him and Judy out for a run and had him off the lead, which worked out great. He did not pay attention to the toy at the start, but after I had thrown it a couple of times he started running after it together with Judy and then even fetched it. Ten minutes later he was at it like an aul’ one, beating Judy to the ball, grabbing it and bringing it straight back. I couldn’t believe it! He is so quick and so eager to please! He is not nearly as hyper as I thought he would be; very easy on the lead and just lovely to have around ![]()
