Hello, my name is Kipper. I’m 6 years old. Today, I travelled from Mullingar to Clontarf, Dublin 3. We are all very grateful to the those lovely people who gave me the lift.

Today has been a funny ole day; I’ve been on tour, had a shower as was told I needed it by A  ; met Cara who lives here in Clontarf -don’t think she’s too pleased with me as I keep licking her face, eating out of her bowls and trying to crash in her bed ;) but we’re settling down; A&N tell me that I am a huggy, gorgeous, gentle goof – whatever all of that means. I’m finding it a bit hard to settle but have just had supper and, as u can see, am trying to chillax.

I have a very sore left eye so A&N brought me to a very nice man, Denis Shannon in Clontarf Veterinary Practice. It seems I haven’t been neutered [??? not quite sure that this entails  ], possibly not vaccinated and wormed, appear to have a hip injury that will need to be x-rayed, need a bit of a job on my teeth and have conjunctivitis in both eyes and a slight wound on my left eye also. So.. first things first, antibiotic cream for my eyes that should start helping by tomorrow.

Am going to sign-off now as am wrecked, to tell u the truth, and am also hearing of the possibility of a walk later on once both Cara and I have had our digestifs

Hello, just a quick update on Kipper who we call Teddy because he’s so lovable.

Settling in well. Cara, our dog, has been a single dog for 3.5 years so a little discombobulated but, in fairness, apart from some growls, the odd snarl etc, nothing serious. Teddy’s very enthusiastic and tends to crowd her but they’re learning from each other and she’s so good anyway.

Teddy is just a wonderful dog – gentle, kind, dying for hugs and petting, so good-natured, tail always wagging, v alert, good on walks [altho’ we wouldn’t risk him off the lead, of course]. Was highly excited with St Anne’s Park yesterday evening. He really is a lovely soul.

If anyone has any background on him and his medical history, v much appreciated. Pl PM me. A&N
