Saoirse has the most beautiful amber eyes. She is a gentle soul. I met her today. She had a run around the play area but also liked to just spend time sitting down at my feet and leaning in against me. She likes to be rubbed and cuddled. She is has a beautiful thick, shiny, coat. She is a very petite, little collie. It never fails to astound me that so many wonderful dogs like Saoirse wind up in the pound.

Any nice images of you in your new foster life? You seem to be a really sweet little dog who smiles :D You must be grinning from ear to ear now that you are out of the pound ;)

We are new to fostering and Saoirse has been with us for 4 days. She really is a sweetheart. She is great with our other animals (a dog and two cats) but she is happiest when she is being petted and hugged, she really loves human contact and is the most affectionate little girl. She enjoys her walks and is very good on the lead. She has a funny little habit of smiling at you, she lifts her lips so you can see her front teeth, the first time you think ‘What was that?’ but it is very much a smile and is quite funny and endearing. She is very obedient and gentle and would make the loveliest addition to any family.

What lovely images, much nicer than the ‘pound’ image. I must say, you have the most unusual paws I have ever seen. Are you from middle earth    I actually think your paws are great 8-)

She is a small Collie, but not as tiny as she looks in the first photo. Our own dog is a Lab/Collie cross who is smaller than an average lab and you can see that Saoirse is a little smaller than her. I’ll post more photo’s soon as I can.

Saoirse is doing great. As our first fostering experience I don’t think we could have gotten a nicer dog. She is very clever and incredibly well behaved. She is still a little cautious and nervous sometimes (she hides under the kitchen table and peaks around the chairs at you sometimes – until you speak really gently to her and then she comes straight over -smiling at you all the way). If you talk to her she leans against your legs and looks up at you with her lovely eyes like she just cant get enough of being with you. She is perfectly comfortable with all the noises around the house, hoovers and hairdryers etc. but can get startled by other loud noises. A funny thing is that she doesn’t like water (avoids streams and puddles when we are out walking). What we have noticed is that she loves human contact above all else and has so much love to give in return.

This beautiful little girl became a member of our family yesterday.we have changed her name to MOLLIE.We collected her from Elsa and her lovely family who were so good to Mollie. On the way home we brought Mollie to Maxi Zoo to get her bits and pieces. She love the shop .She was fascinated with the rabbits who were in a big glass house on the floor.Mollie just kept staring at them. All the staff were admiring her beautiful shiny coat.
Mollie is a very nervous little dog who loves attention and cuddles.
She loves her walks .I brought her to the local park which she loved .I thought she might be afraid of the big windmills but she just kept staring at them. She loved the ducks and the swans so later i must bring some bread and we can feed them.Even after just one day here she is more relaxed .Give it a few days and she will totally settled in.I will update soon.Trish
