February 4, 2015 at 11:58 pm #123520mdavernMemberHi Kay, just wondering if you would consider rehoming Rex with us, we are out at work all day but could get dog day care or someone to walk him. We have 2 cats who are very nervous, but Rex seems to be cat friendly.

Rex 3.jpgFebruary 16, 2015 at 3:09 pm #123693elizpayneMemberRex is just the sweetest gentlest giant you could meet. he is so good with our other dogs always defers to them – particularly Snowy our little white foster terrier lol – all he wants is to be fussed over, petted and cuddled – it’s true what they say about the big dogs – bone idle – he goes for his walk (getting so much better on the lead doesn’t pull but crosses over a bit but huge improvement) and then just wants to laze around – will sleep anywhere – even curled up into little Snowy’s bed lol – he’s great with kids – now he’s made himself more at home he’s taking more of an interest in my cats – not in a bad way but needless to say they don’t want anything to do with him – he’s had no real interaction for his formative years and is only now learning how to play and appreciate what it’s like to be part of a family – he’s an absolute dote

February 28, 2015 at 9:07 pm #123794kaydoyleMemberThis lovely boy heading off to his fab new home in Cork today…a special thanks to Liz & family for giving him a second chance…
March 20, 2015 at 4:14 pm #124125RgraceMemberRex is very happy in his new home in Cork. Coco the eleven and a half year old jackrussell/whippet cross is delighted with him. She tells him quiet down now and again but is glad to have the company and a new playmate. We all love him here. My garden is full of holes already and I have to buy new cushions but he has helped me to get rid of some old shoes and there’s never any food waste anymore. He loves his bones and they serve to give us a quiet hour every now and then. Mind you, they are also the reason for the holes in the garden. He burys his bones and then forgets where, so he has to dig everywhere. Not to worry, I know there’s only another year or two of the madness left. Then he’ll calm down, won’t he?
One way or another, he has found his forever home. Thanks to Dogs in Distress for sending him to us. xxx
