MemberI can’t understand how anyone could surrender this pretty little woman to the pound, she’s completely overwhelmed in there. She’s incredibly gentle & timid, she’s crouches down as she walks, almost trying to make herself invisible, so so sad to see. She has a lovely nature and with a bit of tlc & reassurance she would make a fantastic pet.

MemberWe collected this girl today. She adores people and children. She would make a great family dog. She was excellent in the car just sat in the back and not a peep. We went for a walk in the park and she went for a dip in the river, likes the water. She hasn’t been socialised with other dogs, she barks a bit but then wags her tail when they come over. I will work on this with her. She is finding her feet with my own dog at the moment but I think that she is over whelmed from being in the pound and she doesn’t know what to do as she is not used to dogs. I can’t tell you just how gentle she is, she adores affection. She is asleep now in her new bed, she has her own bedroom and went straight to bed, not a peep from her. I was expecting her to cry but she didn’t. She will need basic training but she is very smart and responsive and a quick learner. Will upload photos tomorrow. She was fascinated by the cats, so will let you know how that goes! She is so eager to please though and really such a soft personality.

MemberDay 2: Rosie slept all night- quiet as a mouse. She is also toilet trained which is a bonus! She was so happy to see me this morning, I could hear her tail wagging against the door. We went out to the park at 7am for our walk, along with my own dog. They were very good, she pulls a little, but she is not too bad and I am already teaching her to heel, which she is responding too. We came back and she was happy to sleep in her basket beside me in the sitting room. She then played with some toys and enjoys fetching. We gave her a bath as she was a bit smelly. I think this was her first bath, as she was nervous but after a few treats and cuddles she was ok and now looks smashing. A real beauty. She never snaps even when scared and is so placid. She also shows no food aggression or possessiveness over toys, which is good. She could be homed with another dog but i think a family home with kids and as an only dog would be ideal, as she loves getting all the attention! She loves food sooo much so we are working with her not to root through bins and eat our cats’ food
. I cant sing her praises highly enough, an absolute gem!! We are currently teaching her to sit, so she should have that mastered soon

MemberRosie is improving every day. She knows her sit command and her wait command also. She is also improving on the lead. She loves playing. After our morning walk she emptied the basket of dog toys, loves teddies! She enjoys fetching her tennis ball also. She has been wormed also. Her coat is so glossy, in great condition and silky soft. She is so quiet in the house, never barks or cries at all, a dream compared to my terrier fella, who never stops barking!. Her are a few pics of Rosie mastering her sit!!

MemberShe is such a placid dog. She is friendly and fun loving. She loves lots of cuddles and is a quick learner. As you can see from the photos, she has mastered giving the paw. We just discovered today that she can open the door if she needs to – she just hopped up and pressed the handle down. As we live in a housing estate there are plenty of kids and as you can imagine they all know Rosie. She is so gentle around them. She gets plenty of walks and likes nothing better than to curl up and sleep. There is a stubborn streak to her and we all get such a laugh. When Rosie doesn’t want to move, Rosie doesn’t move.
