February 5, 2013 at 2:44 pm #113953rubi27MemberWe picked this little lady up yesterday evening. She was calm and relaxed in the crate and not a peep all the way home!
The first thing she did when we got home to the welcoming committee aka Jacky, was to ignore him and check out her new surroundings!
She was quite reserved at first but gradually warmed up to us. She seems to love to sit in the corner of the room. Not sure if she is shy or just feeling anxious about her new home!
Anyways, this girl has had a tough time. Her coat was quite matted around all her legs and sores all over her back!
The good news is, she had her pamper day today! Mats removed and a nice trim. She is just a gentle lady. Didnt even move when getting her hair done! A warm bath is up next!
Will update with some pictures shortly. She seems to be a little camera shy at the moment!
February 11, 2013 at 1:16 pm #114006rubi27MemberThis little girl is such a gently soul! She just loves her pets and cuddles.
She enjoys human touch and contact. Such a dote!
She is slowly coming out of her shell and enjoys meal times. She knows to sit when there is food or treats involved! We have been trying to get a decent picture of her but she is very very camera shy. As soon as any of us pick up the phone or camera and points it in her direction, she walks away and sits facing the corner!
(as you can see in the below)She loves her walks and is good on the lead.

February 18, 2013 at 12:04 pm #114100ILoveLucyMemberHow is little Robin doing? Is she still looking for her forever home?
February 18, 2013 at 12:31 pm #114102kaydoyleMemberShe is doing well and is patiently waiting for her forever home….a quiet home on her own would suit her best
February 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm #113630rubi27MemberRobin aka Toffee, is coming along great. She had a visit to the Vets for her skin allergy last week. After some medication and a medicated bath, she is in top form! Her coat is much healthier and growing very nicely since the treatment!
This gentle girl has finally started coming out of her shell!
She is such a dote! Loves her cuddles and pets. Her weight loss program is coming along great. She is able to have longer walks without skipping a beat! She is starting to play a lot more and is very much more alert compared to when she first arrived!
She has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated! House broken as well. We have not had a single accident!
Toffee is great with other dogs and children.

March 27, 2013 at 10:25 am #114678rubi27MemberIt’s time again for Robin aka Toffee update. She is such a little super girl and made huge progress.
She was very depressed and had bit too much on her hips when we got her. Because of that she was able to do short walks only. Also her paws were not used to walking and she was limping after a short while.
What a different girl she is now. Not shy at all anymore and the additional pounds are almost completely gone. She is enjoying her life now in a very different way.
She loves her walks, playing with ball and even got to choose her own toy, which she absolutely adores. She plays sometimes on her own throwing that thing into the air and guess what- she always catches it back
We did not have even one accident at home and even though she loves her activities and cuddles she has her quite periods, where she just enjoys her sleep. Her lucky forever family will get a perfectly balanced dog and awesome companion. She is just such a great little thing- you just have to love her!
