This is so exciting! What a line up, every one of them a class act. I’m so happy for all the deserving dogs that will benefit from this. I feel a lump in my throat to think of all these wonderful artists coming out in force to support Dogs in Distress. They are obviously all dog lovers. DID patron Cathy Davey must have worked so hard to secure their support as they are all busy people.

Round of applause to Cathy for making this possible. Let’s all work together to make this a huge success.

I think it is a big deal that Cathy is putting her energy into this for DID. I can’t begin to imagine where you would start. First off, the getting people to write songs about dogs (and dogs alone, no scope to pick something else like cats or rabbits) would be like giving kids an essay to do in Irish during the mid-term break. It’s a tough, niche topic there. Then the rehersals, the recordings, the getting up in front of people, the journalists. I’m wrecked just thinking about it!

We’re doing Kris Kindle at work and I was thinking that the album would be perfect for a colleague of mine who has 2 dogs, and guess what, I got her name out of the tin! what are the chances!!! (OK, I did make an excuse and put back the other 2 names I picked before hers ).

Fair play to you all, and thanks from the dogs helped and yet to be helped.
