MemberHi San, there’ll be others more in the know than myself about this that can give updates perhaps. This is as far as my geeky research has got me. The album is due for release on the 7th of December, will be called Oscar The Hypno-Dog and Other Tales. One Ear Up, One Ear Down was written for Molly dog, she is named in the lyrics, written by Cathy Davey. The song is ALL about this crazy, mixed up hound adopted by Cathy from Dogs in Distress some time ago. The band is Harry Holler and the Hooligans. There are a few of the faces in the band, Sharon Shannon and Neil Hannon as well as Cathy.
Here is the chopped up Late Late Show with just this song:
[url:1fffpjbq]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYUsIL7bOSU&sns=em[/url:1fffpjbq]I believe the whole album will be about dogs. I’m not too well up on "the scene" so can’t figure out who else is in the band, I bet those in the know could point them out. I’m not clued in to iPods and that so I’m hoping to buy an actual physical CD, as they used to call them in my day, after we got rid of the record player. The proceeds are going to Dogs in Distress. I hope my efforts help!
Watch this space for more (accurate) details…

MemberThank you so much for your reply. Can’t wait to get the CD. Enquired in HMV and they were aware of the LLS appearance but had no information on whether it was a single or an album and no idea as to when it would be available. It will be important to build on success of LLS appearance – is there an official launch planned on DEcember 7th does anyone know?

MemberThanks San. I believe I saw somewhere there’d be 15 singles about dogs. I agree, it would be good to have something to mark the release. It is a the best strategy to keep up the momentum of the LLS publicity.

MemberHi everyone – we are in touch with Cathy’s PR lady who will be working with us on getting the most out of this wonderful fundraising opportunity – which of course will also help to raise the profile of DID. You will see updates early next week on our website, forum, Twitter feed and Facebook page.
Until then in honour of "One Ear Up and One Ear Down" – I’m attaching a picture of my wonderful OEUOED foster dog Brendan (now Brandon). We fostered him four years ago. He is gone to his new permanent home in Raheny, but he will never ever be forgotton by us. We talk about him regularly. He was such a wonderful dog – and has OEUOED which added to his gorgeousness! I hope you agree…
