This little girl was brought to the pound as a stray. She was in awful condition but thanks to Jetta she has been groomed and is feeling a lot better. She is very underweight and timid but is now in foster with Marie where she will get all the tlc she needs.

Considering the condition she was in she is so trusting and loving.

Hi Kay, Could you tell me any more info about Ali. Does she have vaccinations etc. She is a dote. I have a 14 year old JRT rescue dog we got from Sharpeshill 13 years ago he is a lovely old fella. We also have a rescue rabbit that lives outside in the garden. I have been looking for a bitch to walk as my old dog is not up to it anymore. I walk from Bray to Greystones return most days and would love to be able to walk with a dog again. Any thoughts. Regards Toni
Ali is only out of the Pound just over two weeks now so as much as we have gathered so far is being posted by her foster Mum.
These dogs don’t come into the Pound with information so we have to assess them as we go along while in their foster homes.
This is why fostering is so valuable as prior to it we are dealing with an unknown quantity and even sometimes the information we are given is incorrect.All dogs that are homed from DID are wormed, microchipped, neutered if old enough and have at least their first vaccination as standard procedure.
Taking on a very young dog with an older veteran needs to be considered carefully.
Also at a year old very long walks would need to be worked up to.From Ali’s foster mum
Little Ali is a pleasure to have here sharing our home. She is sweet and adorable and she really has no fault at all. She is terrific for eating and at the moment she is on two meals a day as she was very very thin. She loves her walk and is very good on the lead. We have great games in the garden, she loves running around playing games.
She was timid and jumpy the first few days here, but now is settled and loves her cuddles and tickles. She is just beautiful and we love her more every day.Hi

This was a very sad day for me saying goodbye to my little sweetheart. Before she left she came up and gave me a big hug. It cheered me up to see her going off happily with her new family.
They are all dog orientated and she settled in with them instantly. She is so trusting and loving.
She was as near to a human as I ever saw in a dog One afternoon she was not feeling too well she jumped up on the couch and put her two paws around my neck and cuddled in for a few hours. She is going to be on my mind for a very long time andI wish her every happiness and love with her fantastic new family.Ali now called Peach in her new home. . .settling very well and adored by her new family!

Ali now called Peach has settled very well into her new home, loves the sofa and cuddles up to us all. She is a little sweet heart. Mad for the walkies has been down to the local boys and girls school and is treated like a superstar. Loves all the attention and so so friendly we are mad about her. A very big thank you to Marie her foster Mum and Claire in dogs in distress you all do such an amazing job.
