Topsey is a 6 month old boy.
He is wormed, fully vaccinated, microchiped and neutered.

Topsey is a fantastic pup, he is just amazing with kids and he enjoys having a dog around as company. So he will need to go as a second dog. He will be small to medium when fully grown. Topsey walks great on the lead, he is fully house trained and travels well in the car. He is not in foster with cats.

If you would like to apply to adopt Topsey please go to the "adopt a dog" section in the tabs at the top of this page or click here https://dogsindistress.org/adopta-dog/
There you will find all the information on the adoption procedure and the adoption application to be downloaded.

Hi everyone! Topsy arrived to us yesterday afternoon and was introduced to our George ( formerly Frankie of DID) and after a lot of sniffing and a few growls from George they seem to have settled with each other. Yesterday evening they were playing chase together around the sitting room  but our George is still a little jealous of Topsy and any attention he gets but Topsy is oblivious to all of of that and loves a cuddle and will answer to basic commands. He is easy on the lead and was well behaved on his first walk if not a little overexcited. He settled in to bed at 10.30pm and didn’t look to want out till 8 am this morning with no accidents so all good there. He is the cutest little thing and his coat is silky soft, he loves playing and is very good with the kids, gentle and light in his touch! Topsy is a little off his food but this is probably down to all the excitement so will settle down. I can’t see this guy lasting long as he is a little dote but I will post up more pics as soon as I can. :D

:) Well young man, how are you? What a small, little chap you are, but we all know great things come in small packages ;)

Hey everybody, so sorry this took so long! Was only meant to have the wonderful Topsy for a day or two and he’s been here considerably longer than that! :P Where do I start with this little man… Firstly his pros:
He is an absolutely wonderful little doggie. So cute and affectionate, all he wants is rubs and cuddles. He’s happy enough with his own space too though. Altho he isn’t 6months anymore (probably 8 or 9) sometimes he still has a goofy puppyness about him. He’s so small he could fit in your bag! So that probably adds to his puppyness :) He loves children. Loves them! They’re probably his favourite type of human company in fact. He does like the company of other dogs so I’d say he needs to be a second dog. He’s great walking on the lead, doesn’t pull much at all. And he is toilet trained!
His cons aren’t huge… he just needs a bit of patience, understanding and a wee bit of training. He’s quite insecure (hence the company of another dog would benefit him hugely). When I say insecure I don’t want people to miscontrue that to mean that he’s likely to bite anyone(canine or otherwise), he just doesn’t know how to interact with some people and situations sometimes. Mostly when he’s out walking on the lead if he sees another dog he’s fine, just sometimes he whines, gets vocal and/or gets excited. He is fine in the house with my two dogs (at one time another new doggie came to stay and he was great with her too!), and loves them! They all clean each others eyes and ears and sleep on top of one another! I have been putting a lot of hard work and effort into making him a more confident little man. Big thanks to Jetta for all the help with the tellington-touch practise, which has worked wonders for him!
To sum up his cons, which are very few!!, he just needs the reassurance from his family that all is good! I don’t think this little guy has been given a chance yet to show how wonderful he really is to everyone. He really is the most sweetest puppy ever! He has come on in leaps and bounds here with us and I hope he gets the forever family that he deserves. Sorry if some of my pictures come up tiny, I don’t know what happened!

What a great up-date on a splendid little dog. Sounds grand, just needs to grow up a bit within the security of his own family :D

Well my gorgeous little puppy dog went to his new home yesterday where he’ll have a gorgeous little girlfriend called Cindy! It was a bittersweet day. So delighted that he got homed but so sad as he was my little cuddle monster! There were a few tears shed but it was a mix of sad and happy ones!! I got a text last night and this morning from Tops’ new mammy saying that he was settling in great already and had had a reasonably quiet 1st night! So happy for this little guy and his new family. Ill never forget him!!! :)
