Hi all,

I’ve recently become involved with ‘Dogs in Distress’ and have fostered a little lab x called Fred. Seeing all the good work done here I thought I could help out by organising a charity gig.

I play in a band called ‘Champagne Animal’ and we have lots of people who are eager to help. We’re hosting a night in the venue upstairs in Whelans on the 25th of July. There’ll be 2 or 3 bands and some comedians. The admission will be €5 and all proceeds go to ‘Dogs in Distress’.

I may need a little help in advertising the gig. As of yet, not all of the acts have confirmed so it’s early days. I just want to ensure that the gig is a success and we raise as much money as possible. Would anyone be willing to help out by handing out flyers for an evening or even putting a poster up in work? If so please let me know.

I was wondering if you created event on Facebook, I could share it that way amongst my friends and as them to do the same I mean even if you don`t have proper details as to what bands/comedians will perform you could create provisional event and edit it as you get more confirmed performers

I work in a pub in the city centre I could put up some posters for sure if it’s any help,I work in murrays on o Connell street,would be too glad to help

Champagne Animal are hosting a night in aid of the very worthy charity ‘Dogs in Distress’. We have very, very special guests who are the amazing ‘She’s a Beauty’, the beautiful voice of ‘Della Mannion’ and comedy gold from Gerry McBride. The gig will take place in the upstairs venue in Whelans on Wexford st. on July 25th. Entrance fee €5 at the door.

Shauna’s Pet Shop on Capel St. have very kindly donated a brand new ‘Large Cheeko Apex Dog Kennel’ worth €190 to be raffled on the night of the gig. Tickets will be on sale in the shop from this weekend and on the night for €3 each or 4 for €10. Please let all your dog loving friends know about this great prize and help us raise much needed funds for a very worthy charity.

Just wondering how the gig went last night and hope it was a huge success, as someone who has done a lot of fundraising I know just how much hard work goes into organising these events.
