AHHHHH had a whole essay wrote about this fella! took me half an hour to write!! And thanks to a glitch on the laptop I lost it all!!!!!!

Bullet points it is!!!!

Sam aka Blitzen is;

A real baby!!! A big BIG strong puppy!! As cute as a button! Gets lots of heads turning on walks! Very clever! Best heated pillow ever!!

his loves are:
-playing with his tennis balls, football, squeekies (all of which he has broke ripped or torn)
-going on walks (very good sitting and waiting to get his two leads on;have I mentioned he’s strong??? I have new muscles I never new existed! hence the two leads)
-playing with other dogs!!!
-wrestling with the other half (he’s very gentle tho and knows when to stop)
– sleeping and sitting on peoples feet
-getting his face really rubbed sends him into dazed sleep
-exploring and sniffing EVERYTHING
-being with people
-playing!!!!

His dislikes:
Being left alone ( a bit of a crier and whiner when we leave and at night time but it soon stops)

Things we need to work on:
-loose lead training ( i don’t want massive muscly arms )
-being calm when meeting other dogs ( he just LOVES other dogs a bit too much)
-Not crying when he is alone
-recall ( we had an incident of escapism as someone was leaving the house through the front door the other night which resulted in a game of chase and herding by myself, brother, his GF and my mam – a football got him back)

Sam went in to get neutered today and all the boys in the house are very concerned for him Keep telling them its for the best tho!

Santa Paws came to our house too with some presents for Sam! He must have known Sam likes to destroy toys so he got him a Kong squeaky bone, a rope toy, and a rope/ tennis ball combo toy all of which have survived three days!!! But I think he was getting frustrated with the lack of mess so on a late night walk last night with the BF he found some poor kids football which he happily stole and proceeded to tear up under the dinning room table! You think the BF would have stopped him but nooo!!

We’ve been having great cuddles with Sambo all over the Christmas! He loves nothing more than sitting on you in whatever way possible and going for a snooze! if you just give him a little hug he’ll lean and slump as quick as and try sleep!

Some random info about him:
Sam isn’t keen on small furies! We have two gerbils and two ferrets and I’m sure all he wants to do is play but its a bit too much for the little ones! Likes to chase cats and birds…but with the cats i think if he was introduced to one properly that wasn’t scared of dogs he might be ok! but if hes on the lead and one runs away from him were all going for a run
Still loves kids and other dogs but definitely needs some socialization with dogs as he is just too excited and tries to hump them so maybe after the neutering and healing time we’ll get some proper socializing going on!
He loves the car and is so good in it! He’d be a great van dog companion! I went in to get petrol on Stephens day before we went to the park and even tho he wears a seat belt in the back seat when traveling in my car he was in the drivers seat when i came back from paying and did not want to move!! I got a few funny looks trying to get him in the back again haha
Sam thinks the dinning room table is his den sleeps under it and hides everything under it! If we cant find something a quick look under there and its usually found!

I think Sam thinks he is a bit of a celebrity cus every time we try to take a picture of his beautiful face when hes looking at us all cute as soon as he sees the camera he’ll stay sitting until a milla second before the photo is taken then he turns his head/moves so we don’t get the picture!!!

I swear were going on stealth on him now and taking secret photos without the flash and holding cameras under our arm on so he wont see !!!

In all honesty Sambo would love a doggy sibling! Were just back from our walk were we met a little jack russel and the two of them where like rabbits together bums in the air wagging tails, was ridiculous cute to watch!

Sams has now stopped crying when going to bed infact he doesnt wait for us to go up hes in it well before snoozing away! Crying a bit still when we leave him by himself if hes not tired enough but it soon stops! Thats why i think a doggy companion would suit him ; id say he wouldnt even notice we were gone then haha!

I got a new pair of walking/snow boots today for walking sambo; so i was trying them on and hes sitting there looking at me so i ask him as ya do " what do you think?" and he dips his head and gives them a good aul stare! hahaha thought id ask him again as the face he gave was just hilarious and he gives them another good stare! So i guess sambo thinks hes a bit of a fashionista!

Weve been bringing him to marley park for some doggy time and he is just amazing with every dog he meets! He has a real thing for the smallies though! He loves it and its the best way to tire him out (and me ) it makes him very settled then for the rest of the day!

And him snoozing on the sofa with us late one night! By the end of the night we were squish at either end of it while he had the majority in the middle!
