Wyatt is a fab little guy. He is a typical bouncy puppy who loves other dogs. He is gone into foster with Lisa who will update soon
Picture 576.jpgOctober 26, 2011 at 4:17 pm #106889lisamcMemberJust a quick update on "Buddy" aka Wyatt. This fella is a little beauty who just wants to be loved, a lot !!! He is extremely affectionate to both humans & other dogs and although he is not fully house trained I don’t think it will take to long as he is very intelligent.
Buddy needs to go to a home where there are no small children as although he means no harm he had a tendency to jump up at you when he meets you and it can be a bit intimidating for little people so if your children are over seven he would be an ideal pet.
Buddy is a "house dog", he doesn’t like being out the back unless he is doing his business and he reeaaally loves the couch which is okay as he doesn’t seem to shed.
I would consider him a small dog as he doesn’t even come up to my knee and I think there could be a bit of a spaniel in him as he has short legs and a long body and a really beautiful shiny coat.

October 29, 2011 at 6:20 pm #106946lisamcMemberWe have Buddy 5 days now & I have to say it is a pleasure to foster him. He really is gorgeous little dog. We’ve had no accidents during the day and it’s only a matter of time before he is fully "toilet trained"
We took him out on his first walk with us today and he was very good. He pulled on the lead for the first few minutes but soon realised that he was fighting a losing battle and behaved himself. He was let off the lead to play with my other two dogs and he had a ball running around the Curragh. He came back to heel every time he was called so there are no problems with his obediance.
He is getting on very well with the other dogs and although he sometimes gets a bit boisterous, he doesn’t take offence when they put him in his place
They only time I’ve heard him growling was this evening when he started growling at his reflection in the patio door…… I thought I had an intruder out the back until we copped what he was doing, so we’ve discovered he’s a good guard dog as well
I’ll post more pictures of him during the week.November 9, 2011 at 2:40 pm #107088lisamcMemberJust a quick update on Buddy!! getting on great loves his comfort as seen in photos . Very good on walks in the Curragh, can be let off the lead and will not venture more than 20m and he comes back when called. He is full of energy and loves the long walks in the Curragh still cant get his head around the sheep . Has a tendency to jump up on people in excitement but he is improving all the time. Brought around our nieces and nephews at the weekend to see Buddy and he was very good with them , very well behaved. He will make a great family pet and whoever decides to adopt him will be very lucky. Will post photos of Buddy in the next few days of him out and about in the Curragh.

So he is now the PERFECT family dog.He is wearing a cone at the moment which is wrecking his head but it’s not stopping him eating or playing with Ollie & Heidi his foster sisters. He doesn’t seem the least bit phased by his operation which proves what a good temprement he has. I’d class him as happy go lucky and really chilled…..I can’t believe that this little fella hasn’t been snapped up cos he is just a gorgeous little thing and would be a great addition to any type of family. More photos to follow in the next few days.
Picture 588.jpgNovember 11, 2011 at 2:04 pm #107135pegleg peggyMemberHi, I’ve been thinking about a companion for our 4-year-old male Sheltie for some time, but my concern about taking in another dog is our two cats. Have you seen Wyatt around cats?
November 12, 2011 at 1:36 pm #107114lisamcMemberI haven’t seen him around cats on but my neighbour has 2 and they don’t seen to bother him when he see’s them on the wall or in our garden, whereas my two other dogs go berserk…

Congratulations to the Doyle family on picking a truly gorgeous new family member and don’t forget to post some photos to let me know how he is getting on…..
