As soon as we walked in she was over to say hello. Hope she finds a home soon where she can get all the time and attention she deserves
June 3, 2011 at 7:13 am #105337junothe2ndMemberDalia came to stay yesterday , she is a Sweetheart. All was very strange to her at first, meeting my two, new garden etc but she has settled in well. Last night she whimpered at bedtime as she was unsure of where she was and was missing Marie. But after a cuddle she slept peacefully and we had a great greeting this morning. No mess at all. The sun is shining so hope to get some pictures today as all three are bounding around the garden now.

DSC00446.JPGJuly 13, 2011 at 11:10 pm #105652MrsNixMemberDalia arrived at the Nix house today. She is an absolute angel. She and Kioko the Cranky Beagle have been getting along like peanut butter and jam. I have never seen our beagle be so nice to another dog. They are wrestling on our bed next to me as I type this…happy as clams.
Dalia is gorgeous, seems to be toilet trained, and – other than being a young puppy without a lot of commands – could not be better-behaved. She does not understand any basic obedience commands, yet, but she seems very bright, and we’ll see what we can teach her in the time she is with us.
GREAT dog. Wonderful personality, gorgeous, and an absolute charmer.
Will post new pictures in the a.m.

August 21, 2011 at 9:14 pm #106147MrsNixMemberToday, Dalia met her forever family. She will go home on Tuesday, and I am so happy for her. Mr. Nix and I have just loved her to death, and we are tickled to see her find a home of her own at last. She will also have a Dogs In Distress brother doggie (Rusty). They get on like peanut butter and jelly, and it was so fun to watch them meet one another and play.
Very happy day around here.

August 26, 2011 at 3:46 pm #106134LuvMyFurKidsMemberUpdate from Dalia’s forever family.
Things are going grand with Dalia and Rusty….She is settling in although a little reserved of the big boy Rusty…..who is finding it a big change to have to share his family with a new four legged friend. Its new for both of them and a work in progress. She is such a good natured little thing but stands up for herself too thankfully.
Will update again soon.
