March 18, 2010 at 2:14 pm #95376belindaj81Memberwell i have this baby about an hour now, and what a beauty he is. he has the cutest face, and is ears are so curly. He is a bit smelly so im gonna treat him to a nice wash and blow dry . He seems to be very nervous especially when coming into my house, we had to keep calling him but he seems fine now, hes having a good sniff around the place and seeing whats what but lovely pup, his tail is gradually starting to wag abit higher now, its so cute. How this baby ended up in the pound ill never know, just dont understand some people . will post some pictures of him up later on today after hes nice bath.

March 29, 2010 at 8:18 pm #95903jaywhelanMemberfirst of all sorry for the delay in posting about this guy, our internet has been on the fritz . Anyway, this is fionn as you by now probably know…
He’s been with us for a week and a day now and has settled in really well. when he first arrived he decided within 20 seconds which bed was his, unfortunatly the bed he chose also happened to be taylor and caseys favorite to curl up in, so we had a bit of a stand off for the first few hours, eventually they agreed to a first come basis and in the past few days i’ve seen all three curled up together in the one bed, cute!
he has to be one of the funniest puppies i’ve seen in a long time, he is either asleep or playing and he has pretty big paws which he’s not really aware of, so he is regularly getting caught up in himself and ending up spinning out or on his bum, not one to be beaten by such problems he gets straight up and he’s off again. he is fantastic with our two girls and hasn’t caused them any problems, kinda just slot into their little pack. himself and a friends dog spent a solid two hours playing on sunday only stopping to drink and sleep, so i can’t see him being any issue with other dogs at all, to honest i think if he found a forever home with other dogs he’d be delighted
I think gkd and belinda hit the nail on the head as regards his breed, which is defiantly not a bad thing, i read up on the breed and from all accounts the average "AWS" is either a hunting dog or a much loved family pet and is just as happy to be either one, they are great with kids, are very trainable and like to be mentally challenged. best thing to do is a small bit of research into the breed, keeping in mind, he may not really look it but he is a cross. he is a real beauty, it will be a lucky family that takes him home forever…….
