This poor little girl was thrown from a car today
Thankfully she has no injuries but needs urgent foster. She is only 8/9 mts old. If you can help please contact Kathy on 086 3696413
So her photo does not do this little girl justice. She is tinier than she looks here, a delicate little being and just beautiful. She has obviously had a hard time and is very shy and submissive. She is warming up to my husband and I and likes nothing better than sitting quietly on our laps. She is also very curious and enjoys exploring the house and yard. I will post photos soon and as she calms down and trusts us more, I’ll post more info. on her personality. Right now I’d say she’d be a perfect companion to an older person or anyone who wants a young dog without the exuberant puppy energy. I don’t know how well she would do with young children as she is so timid, and shows signs of some sort of former abuse (besides being thrown out of the car). She might, however, be a wonderful friend for an older, shyer child.
So we are now calling this adorable little girl Poppy. When she arrived at our house she huddled in the corner and her tail was tight between her legs for a few days. Now she is a confident pup — curious and funny and affectionate. A real cheeky terrier. She is great with other dogs, and has pretty good recall. We let her off the leash when we walk her in Phoenix park and she runs back and forth and in circles around us, having a grand old time.
She is a wonderful little dog, and anyone would be lucky to get her. While she’s much less submissive now, she still has her moments. She would do well with some basic obedience lessons. She is perfectly house trained, and is wonderfully behaved for such a young dog, but she looses it a little when she gets overexcited. This I don’t think I’d recommend she be homed with young children. Here’s a few photos, but none capture how cuddly she is.
She loves the car and is interested in everything and everyone going by.

She seems to be happy enough in a car so the halfwit who flung her out of a car lost that one!!! She is gorgeous and probaby managing to leave whatever nightmare she was in behind her. All good for you now little dog, I will also be following your path to your permanent home. I bet you love your foster family, they are clearly very fond of you, happy days.
she is gorgoeus and obviously benefitting so much from her foster home . Does anyone else think that terriers could probably drive??
Terriers can do most things so I am sure driving would be a complete ‘doddle’ for her. If she had a car it would probably be a little soft top sporty number, she would have her shades on and a silk scarf blowing in the breeze.She wants an open-top car! She needs that breeze blowing through her hair
. Nellabi opened the car window the other day too. We were only going a short distance so I didn’t put her in her crate. She put her paws on the arm rest so she could see out of the window and managed to stand on the button and the windown disappeared, much to her surprise and my horror. Crate travel in future I think! Its nice to hear how your little foster dogs is progressing, she will love being cared for and being part of your family – and why not.Eva (Poppy) got spayed today. She is feeling very sorry for herself, understandably. Her appetite is good and seems to be feeling better already. Those big sad eyes of hers just melt my heart.

I need another nap. Poor Poppy, you can only feel better now with each passing day and by next week you will have forgotten about the surgery. I hope you feel better very soon, I am sending you get better wishes with this blog. Lovely little dog. How is Poppy getting along? Recovering well from her surgery I hope and racing towards to sparkling form and a lovely life. She has a cheeky little face and I hope her head is starting to get filled up with nice thoughts and memories and the rubbish bit of her life is fading fast.She’s a great little dog. The vet said she was about 8 months old, and she’s very calm for such a young dog. She’s perfectly housed trained and learns quickly. Even our grumpy old man Tyson, who usually has no time for the foster, is warming to her. She’s a wonderful guard dog too as she alerted me to an intruder in our backyard last week. And she’s cute, cute, cute.
