This little man is gone into foster with Cathy
Thanks a million ![]()
Hi just wondering how Brooklyn is doing in his new foster home and how he is settling in…have sent in an adoption form and just waiting to have home visit arranged so hopefully he will still be available if Im approved.

Dying to hear how this guy is getting on in his foster home. We love Beagles and have one ourselves.
This little man was a bit under the weather when he arrived but he is feeling a little better now ![]()
He is very very quite … I’m not quite sure if this is his personality or if it is because he’s just not feeling too well !!!
I also got the feeling that he wasn’t treated too well in the past by the way he crouches down if you raise your hand … (you know if you were saying STAY !! )
More updates soon ![]()
Hi, I heard that Brooklyn is still very unwell – how’s he doing today? Poor thing ![]()

Hi just wondering how the poor patient is, has there been any improvement in him…hope he is on the mend and will be back to his old self in no time

Brooklyn is feeling much better however he is still on antibiotics for kennel cough and has drops for ear mites ![]()
He is still a quite little man but starting to play a wee bit more with the other dogs which is a good sign. He is only a baby and I would’ve thought that’s all he would’ve wanted to do but at first he was much happier just cuddling & sleeping with us. So hopefully he was just not up to it and now as he’s getting his strength back his personality will shine through !!!
ahh thats great news Cathy, glad to hear he’s pulling through – poor pet! Let me know when he’s better ![]()
Thanks
Sarah
Hi All,
I brought "Brooklyn" aka "Milo" back to his new home this evening. He played for a couple of hours with my other dog Asha, I tried to take pictures but they were leggin’ it around the garden and they all came back blurry
He eventually tired himself out and he is now fast asleep in his new bed, not a peep out of him – which is strange to me considering Asha snores like a mad thing! Her nose is a little out of joint but her tail is permanently wagging – I am learning as I go but if anyone has any helpful hints on how to get 2 dogs use to each other please let me know. I’ll post more pictures as soon as I can.
I took a picture of him all tuckered out but the link doesn’t seem to work
I will try again later or give the photos to the girls in DID!
Thanks again everyone:-)
Sarah, Asha & Milo
This is an update email on my DID family member. I adopted Milo aka “Brooklyn”
last February 13th 2010. He is was a young Beagle/Cavalier King Charles x.
I love him so much, beyond words. He became great friends with my now 3 year old
Beagle/Springer Asha. They are so different in size but he rules the roost. He’s
a terrible toy thief, he hides them by sitting on them or shoving under his
blanket. They both have their own cozy beds in the house but every night he ends
up curled up with Asha in hers, I honestly don’t know what they would do without
each other. They do everything together and I have never seen Asha happier.
He has really grown up, he’s a little bigger than when I adopted him but he was
1 back in October so I think he’s at his adult size now. He loves to protect his
space, his routine in the morning is to patrol around the garden, head & tail
high, and growls at the birds.
He is not a fan of other animals though, as I found out when I took him to a
park with ducks & swans. Good thing he was on the extendable lead because he
took off like a bat out of hell! He also hates cats. I don’t blame him though
because the neighbourhood cats seem to have made it their life mission to drive
him mad. They sit on the fence, just out of his reach and dangle their paws,
drives him crazy.
He loves his walks in the park and the occasional time we go to the beach is
heaven for him, he loves to chase away the seagulls and waves.
Milo needs his love and cuddles, he’s a very loving, tactile dog. Once he’s on
your lap he’s the happiest, falls right to sleep. In the summer, Asha hides in
the coolest part of the house but you will always find Milo stretched out on the
deck in the hottest part, sunning himself. He’s a real sun hound.
His favourite toys are balls (bouncy, squeaky, soft you name it!) He fetches and
retrieves until he wears himself (or you) out. His current favourite though is a
racoon dog toy, brings it everywhere with him, it’s like his blanky!
He wasn’t too impressed with our insane snow last year, especially when he
needed to go to the toilet but when it wasn’t too cold he liked to play in it
and eat snowballs.
I could go on for pages talking about him but I just want to sum up that he is I could go on for pages talking about him but I just want to sum up that he is
the very best boy and I love him dearly. He was the perfect fit for my family
and I don’t know what I would do without him. I have attached some photos for
you to have a look.
Thanks again to everyone at DID for rescuing Brooklyn and delivering Milo into
my life.
