December 8, 2009 at 9:12 am #90875martinacMemberoh my god..this guy is just gorgeous!. I had him out for a walk yesterday and once he gained your trust he kept looking back and almost tripping me up so that he could huddle into me. He had more interest in getting hugs and feeling the warmth of a human than a walk!. A total stunner with most unusual coloring..there is definite collie in this guy..he is quite small but wow what a dote..how could anyone leave this guy..he had a phone number on his collar..does anyone know why his owners have not come to reclaim him??. The poor guy does not know what has happened to him. He is gorgeous..very unusual coloring but so so pretty and gentle!
December 9, 2009 at 9:22 pm #90972fiona600MemberHi all,
I have to agree with Martina’s comments. I had her out on Saturday and she just has the sweetest spirit. She is so gentle and just wants to be near you and get cuddles. I think she must have come from a home where she is used to contact or maybe thats just her nature, but you could stand and stroke her all day. She is great with dogs and just lets them play around her and jump while she calmly lets it all happen. She needs a little time when you take her out of her kennel to get used to you and to settle on the lead, not long but you get the return in spades.
A real beauty and a find for anyone looking for a collie or just a sweet dog.

I love this dog He has a lovely placid temperment & loves to be petted. He is only a young dog but walks brilliant on the lead & is very sociable with all the other dogs.He was delighted to see my 4 yr old & was very good with him,he does jump up but only as he is so excited to see you.Gorgeous boy.
December 12, 2009 at 7:21 pm #91134lauracMemberIs Callie a girl or a boy?
December 12, 2009 at 9:34 pm #91142jake n baileyMemberDefinitely a boy When I had him out I thought he was a she but Ricardos lifted him up to put him back inside & confirmed he is a boy !!
December 13, 2009 at 3:06 pm #91159ladlesMemberCallie is all about love, hugs and cuddles. He will make a very loyal companion to a loving home. He is good on the lead, friendly with the other dogs but I think loves us humans best of all. He really hates going back in through the pound door as he knows it is to his kennel. This dog is a real sweetheart and a heart breaker.
December 13, 2009 at 8:26 pm #91183lauracMemberWe can foster this fella if he needs it.
December 13, 2009 at 9:51 pm #91196jake n baileyMemberThank you Laura You wont be disappointed !! I love the name,it really suits him.
December 14, 2009 at 8:38 am #91189martinacMemberso hope he gets out to foster as this guy really does depend on humans a lot! he is incredibly gentle and so so adorable the way he seeks you out and huddles in for hugs! I have never met such a dog..would swear he was almost human. Such a pity he was not a she as there was a lovely couple there yesterday who would have taken him methinks if he was a she to join their male elkhound!!. Poor poor cal…really hope he cant get out soon!! he would make a super snuggle companion on these cold evenings!!
December 17, 2009 at 3:31 pm #91370ladlesMemberCal was in his usual lovely form today. He is a very sweet dog who really deserves to share all his time with a kind caring human being. He has a tag with a few telephone numbers, I wonder has anyone called them. I will try at the weekend if considered a good idea, I expect someone has tried.
December 17, 2009 at 4:26 pm #91375martinacMemberI saw those tags last weekend and posted up on it but no reply on whether the numbers have been tried or not?. am sure they have been at this stage.
December 17, 2009 at 4:37 pm #91376animalhelperMemberThat is actually a pound collar on him but I couldnt manage to get the tags off.
December 18, 2009 at 12:36 am #91417ladlesMemberThanks Kim for the reply. Actually the pound needs a few donated collars 2 of the dogs I had out today had none, but the pound staff were able to do a looping thing with my own lead. Chelsea needs one, medium size and a new boxer not yet posted. I suspect that there might be one there to fit the boxers neck but nothing for thiner necks. Sorry Cal for taking up room on your post, but all I can say about you is that you are gorgeous!
