This little girl is gone into foster with Amy
Thanks a million ![]()
amirah is a little angel! very scared and shaking at first but we wrapped her in a fleece and within 10 minutes she was looking out the window, giving us loads of licks and ever a few tail wags ![]()
thats fantastic amy she will be well looked after with you and steven. and you have experience with yorkies too. look forward to hearing how she is doing ![]()
Awh she is such a cutie !!
….im sure she will love all the kisses and cuddles ![]()
we’re going to be useless foster parents…we’re madly in love already and couldn’t let her go…looks like Amirah’s found her forever home!
she is the most affectionate and playful little thing. the pound thought she was about 1-2 years old but she still has a bit of puppy attitude. her legs and neck are very badly matted but we’ll get that sorted in no time. she is a little shadow and follows us every time we get up, but when we’re sitting down she likes having a wander around. she seems to be eating okay from a bowl but prefers to be fed by hand…little princess! she comes whenever she’s called in a flash but i don’t think she knows much about potty training. haven’t heard a peep out of her yet but im sure that will come in time!
i’ll post a few pics later, she’s too cute not to show her off…
Awh I know what you mean about useless fosterers! Haha!!!! ![]()
Well good luck with the little one whether you do end up keeping her or not
Well she’s a keeper. Amirah is going to be called Ruby (just like Samantha the Boxer!) and she’s now a full time resident of East Wall.

Here’s Amirah (now Ruby) in her before and after glamour shots! Thanks to Fitzsimons Grooming Parlour in Cabra…they took her at the end of the day with no notice and did a great job! She is exhausted from playing and is now out cold on the couch.

before my makeover

new toys and a new haircut!

Having a snooze…

And another one…

i am so good at playing with my toys!

ahh…a bottle of wine and a nice fire…
Well our little Ruby was in St Anne’s park today and she made her first dog friend! She had a good little play session with…another DID dog! Cara, who looked like maybe a small JRT cross, was just the right size for her and they rolled around a bit and jumped all over each other. Cara’s mom said that she adopted her from DID about 8 or 9 months ago and she is such a little dote. Ruby was really pleased to meet another dog, we’ve been keeping her on a SHORT leash til she’s neutered…
I just thought it was a great coincidence that her first doggy pal was a DID dog too!
Thats gas – Cara (Shannon) was one of my foster babies ![]()
Awh ruby looks really well now..im sure she is vry happy to have her forever home where she will b given lots of love and cuddles….she is such a cutie just like our ruby aka samantha the boxer….best of luck with her ![]()
thanks! we’re actually pretty obsessed with her, she’s just so cute and funny…she helped babysit our 3 yr old nephew this weekend and was down for the count all afternoon! poor girl was worn out…
she is the boss of the house and has us wrapped around her little paw. thanks to DID for helping us find her!
Ruby had a great day today…she had a long walk in fairview park and up the coast road in clontarf. she met a good few dogs and was really looking to play, but none of them were too interested in her
then we took a drive with a friend and she snoozed pretty much the whole time, only perking up when she heard some horses clomp-clomping down the road ahead of us…she definitely recognised the sound! maybe she was around horses before she came to us? wish we could look into this little girl’s past…
now shes trying to swipe my hands off the keyboard, obviously she’s in need of some attention…better go!!
