He is small in size and fully grown. He is wormed, microchipped, vaccinated and neutered. Scruffy is in foster with Evelyn :D

Meet the lovely Scruffy who, together with Alfie are my very first foster fur babies! We’ve been together for just over a week now and are all getting on really well. From the moment they met each other they have been playing non-stop. Then when they see I’m being left out, they come and give me the most stupendous licks and cuddles. I love them both to bits. Here are some pics of the two:

Out for our early morning walk by the sea:

    Dog tired after that walk:

Scruffy is very lively and bouncy and wants to play play play all day long! He has the most adorable face – you just can’t say no to him. Here are some pics of the lovely Scruffy:

Hmmm, I like this chewy stick:

    Oops, I’ve been caught!:

    Just chillin’ out:

Awh they are both gorgeous and look like cheeky little chaps. They certainly seem to be enjoying their time with you. Great that they have become such good friends too. :D

Thanks so much Lisa and Linda, yes, they are great fun to have around and are keeping me fit! No need for other training for the mini-marathon as long as I have these two to keep me on my toes!

Well, my little man is missing his best pal Alfie who went to his forever home last Friday. Poor Scruffy doesn’t know what to be doing with himself. But he met a golden retriever on the green yesterday and had a bit of a play with him so that cheered him up a bit. He would be best suited in a house with another dog or with someone at home most of the time to keep him company.

All alone now for our early morning walk:

Hey, when I chew on this it makes a great noise:

Hope she comes home from work soon, I’m lonely:

I’ll just have a nap while I’m waiting:

Just wondering how Scruffy is getting on without little Alfie?

Hi Angela, I think Scruffy is getting on ok now – it’s just over a week since Alfie left and he is slowly getting used to life without him. We go on long walks twice a day and usually meet an assortment of dogs – some of which he has a little play with – he is really sociable! Here are another couple of pics of him. As you can see, he’s living up to his name but we have an appointment at the ‘hair salon’ tomorrow for his summer ‘short back and sides’! I’ll post some ‘after’ photos tomorrow.

    Posing at the window:

I wonder would I fit through these railings?:

Well, here’s my little man with his new haircut. A huge thanks to my friend Mary Lewis (who used to mind Toby for me) who very kindly didn’t charge me. He had got a bit matted from all his rolling around in the grass so the new ‘do’ will be a lot easier to keep! Before and after pics:

    Look, I found a stick!

Well, do you like my new look?

Hi, had our home visit last week and just waiting on someone to get back to us. We think Scruffy is sooo cute and hope to be able to see him soon.Just wondering if he is good around children. We take it he is an indoor pet, does that mean he is trained or would he need training?
Love the haircut, although it was his ‘scruffy’ appearance that caught our eye. Thks Marion

    Hi Evelyn
I was just looking at the dogs and clicked on Scruffy because he is so beautiful and then realised that it was you that had fostered him! Isn’t he just gorgeous? Are you going to keep him? He looks very "at home" with you! He has the colourings of a Yorkie doesn’t he, although obviously a lot bigger. I bet he is great company!!
Hope all goes well, my parents are dead set on getting a Westie, but I must admit, if I could have a dog myself then I would seriously consider Scruffy, he sounds as if he has a lovely nature and he is a very handsome chap! It’s fantastic that people like you will take in these poor souls, and give them time to find great homes, so much much better than being confined to cages and pens.
Let me know how you get on, very best wishes, Caroline.
