Lucy arrived last week and settled in very quickly. She was very quiet and shy when she arrived but has really come out of herself. I know I say this about every foster dog I’ve had so far but she’s the sweetest dog ever! Really easy going and interested, she follows me everywhere. She’s also getting cheeky, running up stairs and sneaking into the room where her food is kept and then looking back smiling and wagging her tail cos she knows she not allowed, I’m secretly delighted to see this cos at first she just lay in the corner. She is so affectionate, not afraid of strangers at all, wants to say hello to everyone she meets. She absolutely adores kids, will literally make a beeline for them in the park and sits down in front of them and gives them gentle little licks. She also really enjoys the company of men and is friendly and playful with other dogs. She doesn’t much like going to the park cos she hates the cars passing by on the road but once she gets there she comes out of her shell. She’s also remarkably clever, she’s pretty much housetrained herself, one accident the first night and ever since then only goes outside, even when she had an upset tummy! And she sits, it took her about 2 minutes to learn. I love love love this little dog, she is a complete gem.

Lucky people that’ll get to adopt her (lucky, active, loads of energy people that want to play all day everyday ha ha )

She just hugged me like a baby and closed her eyes! There is really something very special about Lucy like a calmness or something. Wherever she goes will be a lucky home

Poor little puppy has doggie skin infection so she’s a little under the weather. She has a bit of a temperature and still very itchy but is eating well and lots of tail wagging so it’s just a matter of time before she starts to feel better.

She had a great time on her walk this morning, was literally bowled over by a hugely enthusiastic labradoodle She’s also taken an interest in our garden foliage and took great pride in picking up leaves and bringing them into the house to show me. Here’s some pics of her snoozing.

Such a gorgeous, fantastic pup, it was wonderful to see her get happier and healthier and more confident over the past few weeks, she was such a pleasure to foster She’s gone to a wonderful home and what’s even better, I just have to go for a walk in the park to see her and say hello!
