Meet the ever so handsome Chase! He is a 2 year old Springer Spaniel x with an excellent temperment. Due to his breed he will need alot of exersize and play-time to keep him occupied, but he is very intelligent. He might be a bit too lively for young kids. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped.
June 13, 2009 at 9:33 am #84718rachelroboMemberIs Chase one of the litter of 6 Springer X puppies from July / August 07 who stayed with Marie for a while?
If so we have his sister Lilly (was Chloe) – could you give me a call on 086 662 0976 please as we might have somewhere for him?
RachelJune 14, 2009 at 12:46 am #84395DID RescueKeymasterRachel you are dead right he is Lilys sister. Family situations have changed life and yes he needs a new home.
You were dead quick of the mark in remembering him…………..well done
Marie.August 8, 2009 at 12:41 am #87176ptahaneyMemberWondering how this guy is getting on? Any news on a forever home?
August 11, 2009 at 9:10 pm #87281rachelroboMemberI’d love to know as well – there was a couple of people who’re in love with our Lilly from the same litter and have Springer experience but they couldn’t take him unfortunately.
We also seriously considered taking him as Lilly is a fantastic dog and we’ve just moved over to the New Forest in the UK which is doggy heaven but I found out I’m pregnant again so it’s not the right time at the moment
I really hope he gets sorted, if he’s anything like Lilly he’d be an absolute pleasure…if I hear of any springer owners in the forest who are looking I’ll let you know
August 15, 2009 at 11:23 pm #87300DID RescueKeymasterWell Master Chase is back with me and what a great dog.
He is fantastic with all dogs big and small…….. no surprise there as he had a good grounding, For many who may not know Chase was with me in Ashill as a puppy with all his brothers and sisters and his Mum.
He is so good with a ball and can jump so high he would be great at agility.
He will sit, stay, give the paw and lie down.
He is great with Kealan who is nearly 9 years and not too bouncy at all.
He spent ages last night catching Popcorn chicken in mid air while Kealan threw it for him.Kealan thinks he is the best dog in the world at the moment..
He is very loving and affectionate. I have had him out off lead in the rececourse and he was super no trouble at all.He was also good in the jeep.
Liz and family have done great work with him its just unfortunate that family circumstances beyond their control made them look for a new home for him.
But they did have his interests and welfare at heart and thats what matters most.
Whoever adopts this special boy……..and I say this as they have to get past me first………will be very lucky, a definite star in the making.August 24, 2009 at 11:09 am #87650sezzie22Memberwhat a handsome lad- he really is gorgeous! Kinda shocked he is still in foster care though! Really did think he would be snapped up superfast!!
September 3, 2009 at 8:29 pm #87859OttoMemberHe is beautiful. We would love to have him but I believe he likes the company of other dogs. I really hope he gets a good home soon.
September 11, 2009 at 10:38 am #88226sherrysbysixMemberMet Chase last Sat. with hope that he would join our family. Mammy+Daddy+3.5yr old and 16mth old boys and Max our 8yr old springerx. He went straight from high play mode to being super calm and gentle with infant when called and grt with Max dog, taking total direction from him. I can absolutely agree that whoever gets to have Chase in their family will be very lucky.
The only reasons why we did not drive away with him there and then are because;
1. He is a little bigger than our Max and we cannot change the size of our dog door as it is set into a glass/wooden wall.
2. We do not have any garden, just a tiled courtyard, and I do feel that Chase needs a bit of grass to play on, unlike my couch potatoe, Max-who thinks that playing with balls is boring.September 22, 2009 at 2:44 pm #88513JenBMemberHi guys, I know my friend wants this dog, she filled in the adoption form and everything over a week ago. Anyone have any info on this??
Thanks in advance,
JenNovember 6, 2009 at 11:01 am #89500animalhelperMemberChase is still waiting for a place to call home……
November 8, 2009 at 11:17 pm #89145suebradyMemberMet Chase for the first time today and it was true love
He is such a happy dog and once you throw his ball for him he’ll love you for life. Little Prince Michael kept picking on him and he’s only tiny beside him!!
Chase took it all in his stride and I don’t think his tail stopped wagging once when I was there!
December 28, 2009 at 1:59 pm #91905RobbyMemberChase had his first christmas with his sister Carrie and family. He has really settled in after 2 weeks and he thinks he owns the house now. Carrie has other ideas and keeps him in place when she needs to. Chase sends Christmas wishes to Marie and all the volunteers, Sarah who suggested him to us and Fidelma who did the home visit.
Chase tried to post a photo of him and Carrie but has not mastered that art yet! Will try again later.
