Walked Max today and he loved being out an about. He seemed very sociable and got on great with the other JRT we had out. Max is a lovely little guy and would make a great pet!

Max is a little gem. Lovely little settled dog, absolutely excellent on the lead, wonderful temperament, loves investigating the buttercups and rolling in the long grass. This little chap is patiently waiting for that one special person to whom he can be a lifelong companion. ;)

Walked this guy today. He’s very quiet and very good on the lead. Loves sniffing long grass. He decided at one point that he wasn’t walking any further and stopped. Managed to coax him a bit more. After a while he stopped and turned around and started walking back to the pound. Tried to coax him into a field for a run around but he was having none of it…he dug his heels in this time. And then started walking back to the pound. Never before have I seen a dog that’s happy to go back into the pound. Wasn’t interested in treats at all.

Unfortunatly I have seen that some dogs, especially surrendered dogs, see the pound as thier "home", I think they run back as they feel thier owner might come back for them while out walking. It’s so sad to see…. they are still loyal to the people who left them there. :(

That makes sense. He seemed quite down. He had a real sad look in his eyes!! Poor wee fella!

Max became ill in the Pound and was put to sleep.

    Max at rest.
