i think it is great how they can adapt to having three legs. There is one ( a female in my local park and she gives all the males a run for their money. sisi
George has a lovely nature
I had him out for a walk and he is well able to do anything a 4 legged dog could do He can also jump up on his kennel door,without a bother.He gets on well with the other dogs,and walks well on the lead.He did not want to go back into his kennel,so Kim had to lift him in.Lovely placid boy Im the failed fosterer of a 3 legged lab from a meath pound. She is a fantastic dog and I no longer notice her disability
This boy should lead a normal life, running around & having fun. He will need shorter more frequent walks, preferably off lead ( the momentum helps, lead walking is more difficult)
Please dont be out off by having a 3 legged friend- this fella has lots to offer..
My sister had George out for a walk this morning. She was half way down the paddock before she realised he was missing a leg. She was so surprised and impressed. He has adapted so well. Lovely boy.
Also – apparently he was totally unphased when another dog became agressive towards him. He has an easy-going nature.
George was in great demand this morning. He is such a terrific personality everyone loves him – his disability is no hinderence to him – a real pet.
