Ciaran’s still getting used to being around dogs and was afraid of him at first, but now he’s the first one he takes out and he takes him out again before we leave! Bouncer doesn’t deserve the name since he hardly jumps. He’s great on the lead and rarely pulls, and even when he does, he’s gentle enough that I can control him easily.
He doesn’t care about other dogs, doesn’t want to play with them, but lets them come up to him just fine. He goes mad when he sees me and Ciaran and really wants some petting! He likes to lean up against you and his whole body wiggles when you start to scratch him. Then he slowly melts down to the ground and rolls over for a good belly rub!
Don’t hesitate on this one, he’s a gentle giant! He deserves a loving home.

April 2, 2009 at 8:02 pm #84120ladlesMemberCould anyone from Irish Boxer Welfare help here? Would it be worth contacting them in the morning? Here is the number.
Tel: 01 8338327April 3, 2009 at 8:55 am #84138FiddichsMemberI phoned Marie and said I could take Bouncer from Sunday through to the following Thursday night / friday morning. I know its not much of a help but fingers crossed its enough to stop him from being PTS.
Let me know

Is Bouncer still in the pound ? I could take him for a week or two if needed,no transport here so would have to make an arrangement with someone to collect/deliver.

April 4, 2009 at 8:31 pm #84168DeemeisterMemberHi All,
We have Bouncer who is doing great. We were at the vets yesterday to get his 4 growths looked at – they are all benign (not cancer), despite his constant drinking and peeing he doesn’t have diabetes & he doesn’t seem to have come out of the pound with anything worse than kennel cough & ear mites (which is a minor miracle!).
He is milling into the grub which is great ’cause he is very underweight and was out twice for walks today and is great on the lead.
