http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc17 … 000838.jpgI’ve been with my family for a year now and am very happy. I’m having a great time. They bring me everywhere with them and I even went to France this year for 3 weeks – it was great fun.
When I was in the pound I was a "big dog" so noone really took a chance on me. I was also so excited to see anyone I jumped up on them and because of that noone took me home. When I got out of the pound I was fine. After about a week or two of being very sick it turns out I was houstrained, don’t bark unless I have too (I see a cat or someone coming in to the house unexpectedly!) I don’t jump on children (big people I’m still learning!!) and I don’t go upstairs. So if anyone is thinking of fostering or adopting the bigger dogs like me and are afraid – don’t be. You never know you might get a dog like me!!! My mum says you’d never know I was in the house. I like sitting on the couch and it took me about three months of perserverence before I was allowed. But I’m there all the time now!!!!
Anyway, I’m very happy. I have a mum and dad and brother who’s about the same age as me (2!!!) They just think I’m the best. We go for walks every day in the park, they play ball with me, they bring me on visits to their friends. I have two girlfriends one is a CKC she’s a purebred and a big out of my league! But my heart is really with a lab X called Zara. We visit her a lot and go chasing on the beach and I’m in LUURRRVE…… I’m looking forward to Chrismas cos mum has got lots of treats for me (she says though I have to watch my weight cos my brother keeps feeding me his scraps! So I’m on a strict diet at the moment as mum says it’s for my own good Not very happy about that though.
Thanks to all who helped me on my way here. Hopefully someone will read this and be encouraged to help some of my friends in the pound. It’s really cold up there so don’t be afraid to foster or adopt.
Bye for now. Mum and my brother are bringing me for a walk now….
See ya

I remember you when you were in Ashton and I’m really delighted you have found such a loving family to call your own.
You are a great advertisement for the "big dogs" and hopefully lots of people will read your post and give them a chance – there are some really terrific dogs in Ashton at the moment – and yes Gilroy it’s very cold there so we really need forever homes and foster homes. I’m sure you will be thinking of all the Poundies over Christmas – have a great time.
Great to hear from you, keep in touch.
Love
Jenny
