Gracie...2yr old Terrier X Pointer..HOMED

Postby kaydoyle » Mon Jun 29, 2015 9:38 am

This poor girl is Gracie.....she was surrendered to the pound on Tuesday along with her 6 babies...thankfully the babies are fine & sorted but poor mum has been very unwell....she had to be rushed to the vets where upon opening her, they found that she was blocked with coal & bones. She died on the table for 5 minutes but thankfully they were able to get her back. She has been very neglected & is underweight.

Coal and bones? If I had my way I know who would be eating coal and bones and it wouldn't be you Gracie!!!   You are on my follow list and I hope you are starting to enjoy everything you now have, like food, shelter and kindness ;) By the sound of it you have come from a hell-hole into OUR world, no longer in the crappy place you were   I am so mad I could explode!

Thrilled to see the article in todays Independent about Gracie. What a remarkable week she, her distraught foster mother and the DID team have had. Very touching - wonderful fairy tale ending.

Gracie is doing really well, she's getting lots of tlc in her foster home and is well on the road to recovery. She is happiest in the company of other dogs and will need to have a doggie friend in her forever home.. ;)
