Heidi 6mth old Westie X

Postby Mobrowne » Fri Aug 16, 2019 7:57 pm

This is Heidi. She is only 6mths old. She was found in this shocking condition running scared around a busy road. It was clear that she had been very cruelly neglected. We knew straight away that we had to help this little baby and take her into our care. Her life began that day when she became part of the Dogs In Distress family. We would like to thank her amazing foster mum for all the TLC she is giving her so far.

Heidi has had many long and difficult treatments at the vet including skin scrapes to identify exactly what infections she had. This brave little girl still wagged her tail at the end of each visit. Her treatment has been very costly but our little Heidi is like every other dog in our care and she got the best treatment.

Heidi is a Westie X and will very soon be ready for the next phase in her life. We are looking for an amazing forever home for her. As you can see in her photos she has come along way since the day we found her. Heidi can be homed as the only dog in the home or she would also be happy to have the company of another dog. Heidi is a gentle little girl but because she has not had an easy life so far we are looking for a home where the children if there are any are older. She will also need someone home at least part time.

Heidi continues to improve. Her skin is healing but still needs further treatment to get it back to normal.

She is such a sweet little girl gentle and friendly. She is timid when she meets people first but when she gets to know you she is a happy playful girl :)

Heidi is such a little dote and she’s loving her life now :D

Heidi is doing really well and her skin has almost completely cleared now. She is a happy little girl who loves life :)

She loves her cosy bed,and thats her favorite spot. She watches the TV with her foster family and likes to curl up on someones lap or is equally happy to lie on her rug at the fireplace.

She loves her walks and when she sees her lead she gets very excited. At her local doggie park she enjoys playing and chasing all the dogs there. She is very outgoing and charming and everyone who meets her loves her.

She still gets very excited when anyone arrives in her foster home and sometimes will have a little accident but that is easily sorted by ensuring she is regularly let out in the garden :)

Heidi will make a wonderful addition to any family :)
