Oreo is settling in well with us in her new home.
We had been fostering Buttons before Oreo came home to us - the whole family fell in love with Buttons leaving us in a bit of a predicament. Oreo's foster mom Liz, very kindly took both of them while we were on holiday to see how they got along together. That seemed to go very well so we decided to take both of them to see if we could make it work.
Have to admit, the first couple of weeks very chaotic and challenging -they both loved to play boisterously and the size difference was a real worry but that has settled down a bit. Oreo has a lovely temperament - Buttons has some fear related issues around strangers and is a little reactive on the leash. But they both love each other so we will do everything we can to make it work, and ensure they are not separated.
We are working on a training plan with both of them. We know Oreo on her own would be very easy to train -she loves her treats and hugs. But Buttons is harder work - his problem is he is so damn cute that he has the whole family wrapped around his tiny paw! And Oreo adores her little friend so much -as you can see from this
